Any reason to not get a Cat phone?

Absolute garbage. No matter if you think the size is good or they look durable: know this. Their battery life SUCKS ASS. 2-3 hours of SoT, we're talking mid 2010s levels of phone battery. You will receive no support, ever, for anything, OS, tech issues, anything. The mics look well protected, but the space in the case easily gets dirt in it and there goes your audio quality.

If you want a phone that works a long time I still vote either moto G power or get a $150-200 phone that you dont mind replacing every 1-2 years. Truly durable phones are near impossible to find. Just make sure whatever you buy can take an otterbox defender.

pretty much. the only other thing rugged phones i can think of are tough pads and sonims. and last i checked they're on android 7-8. toughbooks in general are going to get restricted support if you buy new with no support if you buy used (and they're 2-3k new).

Sonims are tough but it doesn't really work as a smartphone, shoddy screen, slow processors. and like toughbooks, you're not going to get a lot of support and your carrier isn't going to give a shit to help you, unlike with an apple or samsung phone.
