Hi. I have run into some troubles on Discord regarding numerous security breaches. I have lost more then 10+ Discord accounts on the app and no matter what I do I can't seem to find a sure fire way to keep an account going. Every time I join with a new account it gets stolen. I don't give the logs, I use a strong password, I use a VPN, I have an anti-virus running. I even had a guy install firewall upgrades. Nothing seems to be working. Any suggestions?

Try apologizing to whoever you pissed off.

I think I tried that before and it didn't work. The guy instead would just retaliate by resorting to blackmail methods and continual threats. Essentially forcing me to comply with demands of what he wants and what he tries to force me to do is not good at all.

Try not being a cunt then. You clearly did something wrong. Post the whole story and I'll be willing to help.

It is very hard to diagnose things like this over the internet and to know whether you're not doing something obviously stupid or the target of some social engineering
So idk how much people can help

That's the thing. I'm not doing anything. I just get hacked every time I make a new account.

You're not telling the whole truth. It is extraordinarily unlikely for someone to target a random victim as much as you've described.

Well okay the story is basically there is this guy called Epenex. No rhyme or reason the guy is an evil man. He basically goes into people's accounts and steals them for his own amusement. He not only does this to me but to other people as well. And he resorts to underhanded means. He can pass himself off as a friend. If I add a compromised account as a friend or heck just even have them open for messaging I get hacked so I block him. He still will find a way to bypass that though. I put up a strong password consisting of around 20 characters. He hacks me. I use VPN. He hacks me. I use a combination of everything including an e-mail and password he can't recognize as me. You can kind of guess where this is going. It seems this guy is able to track users. And I know what you are thinking? If your account is being hacked change the password. That's another problem in of itself If my account is being hacked changing the password only makes things worse because it force boots me out of my account and allows the hacker or anyone working for him free reign. Then he changes the avatar to porn, removes it from all the servers I'm in, deletes all friend messages, and changes the e-mail and password so I have a harder time logging in.

Your computer is compromised and you've probably got a keylogger. Take your harddrive out, give it to the FBI after explaining that someone is trying to blackmail you, buy a new hard drive, install windows or linux onto that hard drive, fix your security problems by using a proper antivirus/adblocker/firewall etc., and stop communicating with the guy blackmailing you.

Once this is all done. Change all of your email/bank account passwords and enroll in lifelock or some other identity theft protection system. You've probably given him a lot of personal information if you've reused any passwords or email addresses.

In the event you're not lying, you obviously must have clicked on something fishy or installed something malicious. The logical explanation for this (in the event it's not a load of bullshit) is that he installed a keylogger on your machine. Whatever rootkit is on your machine could either be detectable or undetectable; this means that commercial antivirus software might recognize it if it's an old exploit or not if it's something new or something he made himself. However even if it's undetectable because too new/homemade this doesn't mean it's impossible to remove by hand. Some are easy to remove by hand and I've done it plenty of times. Others are really hard to remove by hand and the only real option was to do a full wipe and OS reinstallation.

He sounds like a cool fucking guy to be honest with you.

Well I don't think it's the hard drive. It's our entire ISP. I come to this conclusion because I still have the same issues when I use another computer meaning the guy is probably in the network itself. I would assume a hard drive is different for each computer so if it is then just getting another computer then copying your saved files to an e-drive and putting them in the new computer so no data is lost would solve that.

Get a new computer. You're probably not smart enough to root out whatever he put in yours.
What did you do to him?

Ask him to make an account here too

He didn't hack your ISP. That is a state level attack which is beyond the abilities of pretty much anyone that doesn't have government backing.

It's possible that he just has a friend at discord. Discord's logs leak like a sieve when you've got someone on the inside. If this guy is in your friend groups, just move on if you can't fix it on your end.
