Anybody else wish they could just go back to being a normie?

Wanting to be a "normie" may be like wanting to be assimilated into a cybernetic hivemind.

Go read Storm of Steel if you think you've got it bad. Knowledge is power, focus on preparing yourself for the future.

I don't regret understanding that the world is a chaotic shit show full of evil. I also understand that I am not fundamentally different from this chaos. Ultimately even the concept of yourself is a delusion.

With this realisation you can start to realise the divine value of a good, loving, moral life. Every thought and act made out of love is a shining gemstone in a coalmine.

Paradoxically it also allows you to let go of yourself, to not take things too seriously.

You will eventually grow numb to it and then you'll be a normie with forbidden knowledge which will help you succeed in life.

basically this. being freaked out and miserable about internet brain poison is a choice. you can look into the abyss without letting it turn you into a psychologically cucked doomer, focus on the things you can control and learn to cherish the good things you have in your life. build your own foundation internally and you'll find yourself being less cynical about bullshit like politics or trannies or whatever. remember that being mad on the internet doesn't solve anybody's problems, least of all your own.

I wonder if Plato ever conceived of his allegorical enlightened people wanting to crawl back into the cave to be deluded (again) by shadow puppets. I imagine if he knew that was a possibility, he would have just given up on philosophy and also life.

Yea I can agree with this. I know my post comes off as doomer pilled and a bit cringy, but IRL I generally let very little of this shit effect me and don't deal with it much outside of getting irritated by the current state of affairs. I have it pretty good in life, great job, married to a woman that I align well with, supportive family, and I no longer live around any of the insane bullshit. I think my concern is that while I have it good now, I worry about how bad things will get, and primarily how much I'll be able to disregard or control them effecting my life or my children's lives.

I just don't like how aware it seems you need to be now compared to the previous decades. Where when I was growing up people didn't need to be worried about their past coming back to haunt them, getting groomed by weirdo's in random Discord's, being indoctrinated by radicals who are supported and pushed by the main stream, or getting radicalized in college, and even to the extent that a public situation can result in you getting fucked over because of who it happens to be with. It's these things that concern me as while I can be aware of them all and not let them happen to me, it's impossible to fully guard your family from them, at least while trying to give them as much individual agency as possible.

I wish I could be a normie when it comes to sports.

They don't understand why stuff happens but have this weird hope for players and teams which have no future.
