Has anyone else been really into storm chasing and weather radar recently? Maybe its because of the recent tornadoes but watching Reed Timmer storm chases is peak.
Don't even get me started on Reed Timmer. The mans like Terry Davis but for storm chasing. Dude is absolutely insane. He's a little more sane than Terry, he has to be though. He broadcasts his chases live on youtube and he calls into the weather station to report live.
Can't say he doesn't know his stuff though, mans good at chasing storms. The vehicles they ride in are almost as insane as Reed....
I mean these interceptors are like 8k pounds and $750,000.
16 gauge reinforced steel, double windows, hydraulics and spikes, all on a F-350 Super Duty???
Besides it being a Ford, the things actually a beast, they can haul 70 mph down the road with no issues.
Weather radar is cool too, there's tons of free software and websites where you can view live weather data, supercell-wx and GRLevel3 are my favorites as of software. And for websites College of DuPage weather radar is so cool. You can view reflectivity but also True-color, so what it would look like from space. But its live! So you can get real footage from as early as 3 AM to whenever you're viewing it.
Here's a list of software and websites that are good for storm tracking and general interest. If you have anymore link them below!
