Anyone doing anything neat-o for spring break?

It's not spring break but I'm actually flying to Louisiana tomorrow for Mardi Gras. My GF is down there for a while, so we'll head into New Orleans, hit a few parades, maybe see some titties...

Spring break is the following week for me. I'm pretty much just going to be working and studying. I wouldn't be surprised if I have so much homework it doesn't even count as a break. Such is the life of an engineering student/full-time laboratory bench monkey.
 
Heh, so Fat Tuesday really is in March this year? March is THE Spring Break month all month long! You guys are so lucky, of course its Mardi Gras Spring Break!

There's going to be sooooo many (o)(o) there. AUGH YEAH

If I went, I probably would feel like I wouldn't need to do anything (as usual) and just enjoy the parade and drink my Jim Bean and Kahlua.

I actually did go to the French Quarter once, it was awesome.

Since I'm not in school right now, Spring Break is kinda moot. But I do plan to get my brewing project off the ground. Gonna get some batches of fruit wine and mead going for Spring. I love me some blueberry wine.

reasonable temperature out (avg ~30 F), going to work my butt off on grinding up my drawing skillz

I've got some family in Baton Rouge and my own parents lived there, as did I until I was eight months old. I've been down there a lot but never for mardi gras since I was older than about 2 months...

That said, if anybody else ever intends to go, they've given me some advice which I will pass on to you:

-There aren't as many tits flashing as people say. Some, but not that many. Sorry.
-Do NOT go into an alley and piss. Mardi gras is pretty much the one time of year NOPD actually will charge you for it. Big revenue stream for them because all the drunks don't want to find a toilet. Big, golden-yellow, smelly revenue stream.
-The many years back that we actually lived there, allegedly the best parades were Rex and Bacchus, in that order. Those are two big krewes so probably still really good.
-Bourbon street is for the kind of tourist who doesn't know anything. Take a few pictures there and go a couple streets away where the better, less-expensive, less-piss-smelling places are. It always, always, always reeks of piss, height of summer to depths of winter (this I can vouch for myself).

Unless anyone wants me to take my top off for beads. I guess I could do that instead.

Well, now I know where I'm going for spring break.
 
Oh Alec, always walking around with his Asperchu issue #0 trying to show it to everyone and handing out business cards.

My springbreak is going to be pushed to the end of April since March is still quite cold and snowy up here, but I'll have about two and a half weeks off. I'll probably visit the Metrotown mall since it is the greatest mall ever. That or the two story mall that's literally merged with a giant university. There's something very CWCesque about it.
 
Playing more vidya. Hopefully I can get Dark Souls 2 and spend time on it during spring break. Other than that, just walking around and enjoying the scenery in the area I live in.

Can I take my top off for Asperchu originals?
 
I may do a Spring Extended Weekend and go to Ocean City. When you're on your own, you tend to be able to do spontaneous, nutty things like that. And I rather do enjoy the privilege.

Sadly, I'm sure when I'm out of the house, my Spring breaks and Christmas vacations will consist of going home and doing exactly what I'm doing now for a week.
