Anyone else find it weird that there has been almost no campaign work for an election that is happening in approx. 6 months?

Political signs came and went around the primaries. There was a lot more news buzz when the GOP wannabes were doing rounds wasting money, of course.

I'm sure we'll start seeing a major increase in campaign advertising and promotion as we reach September. It and October have always been the months where the politicians consolidate all their efforts for their imagery to still be fresh in the minds of voters by the time November rolls around. You have to remember that the attention span of the media is incredibly short. There's also the issue that both political parties have become internally fractured from the outcome of our last two elections along with the other major political issues people constantly talk about domestically and internationally. Little reason exists to throw one's hat within a certain group when it's very uncertain if the people in charge of them will even be around by the end of this year. Too much uncertainty compared to 2016 when there were very clear and direct objectives being presented by two people who people could unabashedly rally behind.
Americans are cowards, mindless media consumers that deserve anything bad to happen to them for being israel pet. Letting pet niggersand trannies poisoning civilization.
"Hey buddy, I think you got the wrong door the A&H club is two blocks down," or you could go babble in the abortion debate thread. I'm sure that's more your scene anyway.

Most people start paying attention after labor day, but I agree the election has been surprisingly low key.

One thing is Trump is now a known quantity and a combination of media censorship and his own boomer choice to silo himself off into the irrelevant Truth social ecosystem means we arent hearing outrageous trump tweet # 9,129 like we did in 2016. The media has wisely understood that trump used them to his advantage in 2016 to signal blast his policies and are therefore only covering him to the extent of his trials and negative publicity.

It almost does feel like things are in a holding pattern waiting for trumps criminal trial to play out before we enter a new phase...

NGL the prospect of a King Biden or King Trump makes me in favor of the guillotine.
I'd love to finally witness a president (good or bad) who realizes he can't get shit done the way things currently are set up and just executive orders everything through to make an imperial presidency. Much as I despise federal power, the only route I see to fixing anything in this country is if we have an authoritarian president who cuts the bullshit and tells every other snake in politics to fuck off or try to take him out.

Of course, this will never happen due to how entrenched the unelected bureaucrats, glowies, and every interest group are in the system.
