In more optimistic news, science and technology will continue to improve. I can see large leaps in astronomy happening (new telescopes and probes will be gathering previously impossible data). I predict more rocky exoplanets around habitable zones will be found, potentially with water and oxygen/light element atmospheres. Other fields will have developments as well, but with the increasing politicization, poz, and snake-oil they will be harder to find (but will be there for anyone willing to look).

I think gas this summer will go crazy more than it already is (it is $6 where i am), watching some of these ports especially in the gulf area, all our oil is going to europe and china is taking in tons of oil. While we are bringing nothing in.
