I'm finally getting into painting, though since I don't have space for an airbrush setup, I'm going to be handpainting. I'm mostly going to be focusing on detail painting so I can move away from color correcting stickers, though I want to try fully painting kits too. So I'm starting out with practice on spoons, then a custom color scheme EG Nu. Hopefully it turns out well, this is fairly new territory for me.

In release news, if you were waiting for another Shuffle Alliance kit like me, Dragon Gundam has been announced. Preorders open tonight, shipping in January. Also, Bandai will be unveiling retail kits for release in Q1 2025 prior to the Tokyo Toy Show next week. Expect to see those Tuesday evening. Keeping my fingers crossed for an RG Master Gundam or an HG Devil Gundam.

Well, the announcements for early next year have dropped, and there are some surprises in store. Here's a list of gunpla and noteworthy miscellaneous items, as well as release dates:
Kinda sad to see nothing related to G Gundam, was keeping my fingers crossed for a RG Master or HG Devil Gundam, but the continued P-Bandai releases are at least tiding me over. The Psycho Gundam Mk-II looks amazing, much improved over the original Psycho Gundam, and I definitely want to pick it up. The long-running meme of IBO never getting another MG is finally over, and while I don't care for the series, I'm glad for its fans. And I'm pleased to see GaoGaiGar get more kits released, even if it's HG instead of RG; I guess those are easier to develop from an engineering perspective, so hopefully that means the rest of the lineup will come out sooner rather than later.

Choryujin and Weissritter has me excited. ChoRyuJin because im a fan of gaogaigar and the brave series. Weisritter because i like the mech and the pilot Excellence(RIP her Jap VA)

Well, fuck. After staring at an HG Vidar on my wishlist for weeks I now have reason to wait even longer. And something to stand next to my MG Barbie.

HG kimaris vidar was my first build, having the MG vidar will be a treat for sure.

I've started work on an the MGEX strike freedom. The kit is interesting as having to use just nippers and a razor instead of a file has been a nice exercise.

The colouring for the gold is more appealing while put together, as I found on the runners I couldn't very much tell the difference in shading.

I finished MG Sazabi and while ago and I just don't have the will to take pics of it. I intended for it to be my last kit for a little while I work on other stuff but it burned me out. It' was just too much kit for too long. And those beer cans. 6 identical little cylinders, each with 9 parts, each with 3 nubs that are in the worst spots so you really have to file them down. I messed up the satin coat too and I just really don't want to think about it.
Most excellently, I've been using my GodHand nippers to trim my nose hairs. They got that perfect pinch to pick apart hairs.

I too find any step you have to repeat multiple times a real soulsucking task. The more times you have to do it, the more of a slog it feels like, especially if it involves a lot of pieces in total, doubly so if they're tiny. Funnels on the Sazabi and fin funnels on the Nu/Hi-Nu really tested my patience; even the Psycho Plates on the Moon Gundam did to an extent. Twice is fine, three or four times is borderline, but more than that will really drain my enthusiasm to continue. Either I power through or I take a break and come back later.

Stickers can be annoying some times

The stickers for the ball thrusters have you try and curve them to the inside of curved wall and the eye scanner started to unstick a bit. Need to get back into painting kits again. Never really finished a gunpla paint custom before. Though was trying to get green and mustard yellow barbatos lupus hg with sliver replacing the yellow bits.

I have a pair of blue MS-21C, OG Zeon color scheme, same problem with the thruster stickers.

Any Kiwis here own the G-Savior kits?
Kit, singular, they only ever released one because, y'know, the movie was a flop. It doesn't look terrible, kind of an evolution/redesign of the F91 with some odd bits in its design like the skeletal upper arms and legs. Had it been more of a success, they would have released alternate configurations like the ground type that would have added armor to those parts. Kind of a shame they didn't do any other kits; the made-for-TV CGI doesn't do the designs any favors, but the lineart for the various mobile suits looks pretty good, and they probably would have translated to gunpla well.

I don't own one, but I'd love to get one for the memes. It'll have to wait for another reprint, though, no way I'm spending close to a hundred bucks getting one from eBay.

Please please please don't let this be a partsformer . . . https://www.gundam.info/news/gunpla/01_15610.html As it is, I hope the HG ChouRyuJin isn't a partsformer for transforming from individual robot modes into individual truck modes.
As much as i would enjoy ChouRyuJin being transformable, i would prefer if it just stay as it is. Honestly whichever outcome is acceptable as i get to add another GGG member into my kit collection

Judging from the preview pics, it looks like there's a little bit of partsforming for swapping HyoRyu and EnRyu back and forth, as well as more elaborate partsforming for ChoRyuJin. Like I said before, kind of a bummer it's not fully transformable, but I'm just glad they're even doing more GGG kits in the first place. Here's hoping my bro Volfogg gets his day in the sun.

As for the Delta Zayin, I wouldn't hold my breath on it being fully transformable. It looks to be nearly identical to the Delta Gundam physically, which was released as a partsformer back in 2012. I'd imagine they'll be reusing those molds for this one.
