i think on windows it runs at kernel level. They announced that for the finals. However they enabled linux support anyway. So for me I am still good but on windows I thought they did enable kernel level shit.

Been having a fun time with the 5 or so raids I've done so far. Aesthetics and combat are pretty fun but unfortunately im going to have to boycott this game because it makes me choose a body type for the chicken and i cant stand that woke nonsense. Also, lgbtq subliminal messaging in their logo much?

yeah the characters are ugly and i hope they add better ones later on like they did with their other game The Finals.

don't watch trailers and intend to spend 2 seconds customizing a character i'm covering up anyway.
TT2 and server slam were fun, still sort of on the fence towards buying it though because extraction shooters tend to die out fucking immediately after release.

If it was free to play I'd be more excited, as it is I'm going to give it some time and wait to see if they do what every extraction shooter does and cater exclusively to the streamers who play their game for 18 hours a day.

Arc Raiders is a decent looking extraction shooter, however, it is entirely predicated on how faggy the devs are and how good they are at stopping cheating.
You couldn't make me play most shooters because of the cheaters even if you put a gun to my head, trying to go a perfect run on Trials of Osiris on D2 was one of the most frustrating things in gaming I've done, always you'll get a cheater group or some top 0.01% player.

First few hours of the release have been fun. Players have been surprisingly friendly, not what you'd expect from an extraction shooter.

IGN is trash, it's where you go if you want to hear the worst takes on everything. The community is equally garbage - they'll tell you that TLoU2 was a masterpiece, and that AC Shadows sold incredibly well, or that Star Wars Outlaws is a game worth playing.

This game has one of the most wholesome communities I have seen in games, 85% of my encounters I had in Solo with other raiders, we don't kill each other.
All it takes it using the emote "don't shoot" and waiting for the other guy to use the same emote where you both agree to let each other go and not kill.
Even better if you have a mic you can use, just ordered a new mic to be able to communicate.

I've had a few in duos/trios but i've also run into a few chill dudes. The game over all is a blast.
