90% of my deaths are due to foolish trust, and by that I mean a split second of doubt.
Friendlies get you killed, not directly but by making you susceptible to dropping your guard later.
Now I simply stand off with everyone and ask them something retarded like "Rei ..or Asuka?" And if they are aloof in any way I kill them, the answer to your dumb question is irrelevant, it's how they answer or the lack of it.
Mic-less sociopaths are kill on confirmation, they are not talking to disassociate on purpose.

The full on pvp in duos and trios is fine though, there is no doubt, you might be able to talk out of a conflict but only from a position of power

I've only had one fake friendly so far and they did kill me, but I didn't really fall for it so much as I said to myself "I have a ferro and a mk 1 augment, not much to lose." If I bring in anything decent I never turn my back on anyone. Too many people out there who want to larp as a nigger.

I've been having way too much fun plinking random people from across the map with an Osprey. I don't even kill them if they stand in the middle of a field like a retard while they look for me. The sheer panic from their shield going 100 - 0 is priceless.

That was yoooou!!!

Thank you for teaching me a valuable lesson.

experienced players with a renegade will outgun you, and will have the ability to peak shoot you, I've killed many a LEET-Sniper on Spaceport thinking they had an advantage because of a scope, but in reality, being slammed into first person is a huge disadvantage, and the guns are practically damage identical, the Renegade just has superior handling and fire-rate.

I'm trying to induce schizophrenia for cheap not win gunfights.

It works. After it happened to me. Most likely not you since I rarely engage in combat unless I have to, and it did make me panic and I started running for the elevator where I got raped by a don't shoot spamming faggot. After that I try to avoid open spaces and learned to play with others.

That grappling hook gadget thing has singlehandedly ruined this game for me. All the high tier loot spots already have a faggot buried inside them within 30 seconds of round start. I came back to this game after a couple weeks and watching people fly around is just completely antithetical to the whole stamina grounded vault system.

Sounds like you need to invest in some trigger nades. Let the loot come to you.

I'm enjoying playing a game that feels finished, polished even for a change, but the vertical audio on Stella Montis needs serious work. Audio of someone breaching in the next room goes from inaudible to LOUD just because I took two steps up onto a landing. I don't know how Hunt Showdown got it right the first time but Embark needs to work on this.

Oddly the players who are often trying to kill me have mere light shield loadouts with kettle guns and shit, barely have anything worth looting.
I did that for a bit, and managed to kill a few people with better weapons (cue "UGH I WAS DOING A QUEEEEEST"), but it got old and I found real joy in randomly dropping into fights with ARC to help niggas out. Half the time the other player runs off without a word, half the time they toss me blueprints. It's a fun game.

Stella is such a layer cake that you can hear niggas clear as day in the Archives while you are at the little back office checkpoint right at the bottom next to the Lobby Exit, the one with like 12 desks.
its annoying because It makes me think I can go and help or interject in a gunfight, but in terms of running distance it might as well be as far away as I could possibly be on the map.

Bought and played for a couple hours tonight, mainly to check out the procedural mech animation. I'm having fun. I haven't died yet but I think I've crawled to the elevator console more times than I've hit it standing up.
In my last run I killed a rocketeer with a Hairpin 1 and two bullets to spare. I don't know what any of these purple things are for.

Tons of shit is just to break down into other shit, or sell it as a purple.

here's the general gist of looting/crafting.
there's the base components, Fabric, Rubber, Metal, Cloth, Plastic, and Chemicals

these can be combined to make more complex things, and those more complex things can be broken down to get the components, some complex things exist solely to be broken down, or turned in for a quest, or used to upgrade a workbench, IE, an Industrial Magnet has no use beyond to break it down, or sell.
however, this is key, breaking it down at your base nets more materials than breaking it down in the field, however there is an upside to doing so, base components weigh less, and stack together higher, saving inventory.

the Rocketeer Drive is used to upgrade a workbench, its also used in a quest, beyond that it can be turned into Advanced Mechanical Components, key shit for upgrading blue weapons.

You never want to be out of Base Components, you need them for crafting all sorts of shit all the time, so always have at least 200 or more of each one, there is tons of shit you can never craft, such as Springs, Magnet's, ect.

I wouldn't get so ass mad about losing my stuff on death if I could find the fucking Anvil BP.

Finally died once after eight hours, predictably to a soulless korean subway camper who ganked me while I was tanking a couple of ARCs.
Everyone else seems pretty inept though, like a dude trying for a weirdly long time to snipe me with a shotgun from the other side of the dam, or my last run where some retard calling "friendly" (while wearing a turban, you obvious idiot) tossed four grenades and started shotgunning while I was already nearly done activating the elevator terminal so I just kinda ignored him. So it still feels pretty chill.
