To blame atheism for progressivism is a severe cope, so one can avoid discussing demographics and sex, because gender is not a thing.
Atheism is a factor, I'll acknowledge it.
But the main cause of progressive, liberal politics is the groups that have banded together to undo the "Patriarchy", the dominance of the "white male", legacy of colonialism and more.
It's largely a coalition of weak groups in need of state protections, afraid of societal rules, interdictions and order.
Christianity is actually VERY weak here, and even weaker in general. The people that you see being "religious" online know 1/10 of what I do about their holy books and God, and I am an agnostic. They do not pray. They do not go to church. They live unholy lives, slaves to their hedonism and capitalistic consoooming.

It isn't a revelation that Communist governments suppress any/all religions with Hoxha being perhaps the most infamous. The real question is if you can be openly religious in a Communist country. You could in a Socialist country with Communist tendencies like Yugoslavia but certainly not in Communist Albania under Hoxha.

That rule isn't present in the Mass Debates guidelines as far as I'm aware. But if you want an actual opinion. The site isn't for people of one ideology. There are a huge swathe of users who believe different things that you would never be able to get unity. The thread on the Ukraine war got split for a reason. Having threads about how much x people hate y people is better than not having it. Those feelings don't go anywhere just because there's nowhere to express them.
