Are there any regionless blu-ray players under 100 bucks?

Yeah my old one bit the dust it seems and I have a bunch of stuff from B and C regions and all my other players are Region A.

I didn't want to drop the 150 bucks that amazon is pricing them towards and also ordering a B or C Region specific player costs the same as ordering a multi-region from North America.

They still seem to need hardware conversion unlike Regionless DVD players. But supposedly some USB Portable models need only software to change their region, but that in itself seems to be an additional cost too.

Get a modded PS3.
That's what I came to say as well. I see hackable PS3's locally for around 50-100 bucks. I got one about a year ago for $60 with a bunch of controllers and other peripherals.
Method 1 - Rebug!
Quite frankly, Rebug's newest CFW on 4.65 is awesome, so you should have this already, but it isn't region-free out the box.
Step 1
Download and install 4.65.2 of Rebug CFW. Install using recovery menu if possible, as that will reset settings and making it less likely to mess settings up (RSoD).

Step 2
Install the rebug toolbox, the PKG should be on the hard drive. If it's not there, download the PKG from the internet and install it from USB.

Step 3
Go to the Selector tab, and change System Mode to Rebug. Then change Debug Menu Type to DEX QA.

Step 4
If you haven't already, enable QA Flag in the last tab of the Toolbox.

Step 5
Reboot your PS3, then try running your "foreign" Blu-Ray
:)

Method 2 - Rogero Cobra 4.46
Another great CFW that was only recently surpassed by Rebug, this also works with changing your region.
Step 1
Download and install Rogero 4.46 Cobra CFW

Step 2
Download and install Multiman or Multiman Cobra (the vanilla one will change to cobra when you update).

Step 3
In the Multiman settings, look for Blu-Ray Preferred Region, and set it to the region of the disc you want to play.

Step 4
Run the blu-ray disc from Multiman!

Method 1 is better than Method 2 because it means you can run any disc without having to run MM or change any settings.

Hope this helps people who were in the same situation as me! (CECHA00 trying to run Region B discs)

Shit like this is why I am glad going forward with 4k blu-rays at least, they are all region free. There are couple movies I wanted that are only available on bluray in region B, but I found fucking with region free players to be too much of a hassle (especially given that I was about to upgrade to a 4k player), and settled for older, shittier DVD releases.

your guide (for jailbreaking ps3) references some outdated PS3 CFWs (there's cobra ferrox 4.86) and you gotta have to jailbreak your PS3 first if it isn't jailbroke already
nowadays you don't need to convert your CEX ps3 to DEX, webman mod can already change the region (since it is a SPRX plugin that runs at boot, it is much faster than having to run multiman), and multiman is only good for dumping the blurays (as ISO)
