Are we becoming too arrogant? - Or is thegooddoctor too sensitive?

I think the trick is to say whatever's on your mind and not care about stickers people give you for it. There is no rule that forbids respecting pronouns if you like or respect specific pronouns person and there is no rule that forces you to use slurs when talking about sexual minorities or racial groups.

Thank you im glad someone gets what I was trying to say. There is a natural hostility towards this place for sometimes I think a good reason and I think we can do better.

Completely agree. Anybody that doesn't have at least one thread where something they posted is extremely unpopular or at least received a mixed reaction is an absolute pussy. The best part about the Kiwi Farms is saying what you actually think, no matter how retarded or unpopular or autistic. Say exactly what you want to say and stand by it, the complete opposite of the rest of the modern Internet.

Don't get me wrong, I believe that freedom of expression includes freedom to be an absolute asshole and I wouldn't want to restrict it in any way, just as I wouldn't want to restrict being nice.
The way it is now, where both a-logging (which I define as posting irrationally angry rants about lolcows) and white knighting (which I define as trying to challenge other users about ethics of laughing at lolcows) are shunned, works very well. Everything in-between is, in my opinion, a fair game.

I was hoping this was a cool thread about how Null's perfection of keeping the site online is leading us to think we're damn near invulnerable, but no, it's just someone bitching about stickers.

Null - add a feature to the new board where someone can be stickerbanned - unable to give, see, or otherwise know stickers exist at all.

Exactly, I think many of us her are basically decent people, I think the relentless cynicism is not done purely out of malice but sometimes as a crutch due to the horrors of the modern web. I'm not against freedom to be an asshole but sometimes that opens to floodgates to some real shitcunts and iI think we should learn to relax a little and just laugh more.

I was not bitching about stickers read the title of the thread and see what I mean. Its's about kiwi farms general arrogance towards everything and everyone we are not untouchable or the smartest people on the planet. We have smart as well as dumbasses and we shouldn't forget it.

Really spastic and\or unfunny poster either leave, become our pet laughingstock or stick to A&H or Mass Debates. Threads about pedophiles or zoosadists are of course more hostile because people are rightfully angry that such individuals are allowed to walk free. But then there are threads like Wogglebug where people are rather friendly to the cow and even warn her against scammers or give constructive criticism about her art. Or ones like Melinda Scott where regulars are pretty much all frens and a small sub-community. It's just a matter of finding a thread that's fun for you.

Absolutely, it depends heavily on the cow, for much more minor harmless cows or obscure laughingstocks like cosplay tards or just weirdo's or minor youtubers who are basically decent people but have some bizarre or strange work ethics or laughable views or goals that there stupidity is endearing but not malicious.

Honestly I don’t think any of that will help at all.

OP's criticism of people having a holier-than-though attitude hits on something I've definitely noticed on the farms. It's also something I see whenever normies start getting interested in lolcows like Chris. Usually people start holding up a magnifying glass to whatever character flaw they see within the lolcow, and this becomes a justification for whatever form of cruelty they then want to subject them to. Chris Chan is "a shitty person" who is "selfish", so it naturally follows that anything he's subjected to is deserved on account of his inherent badness as a human being.

This isn't something new, or unique to Kiwifarms, but it's a line of reasoning I see show up here from time to time. A good example would be how people talked about Andrew Dobson, one of my all time favorite cows. The classic hate blog that documented him is full of this kind of reasoning, and it has a general tone I've seen creep into a lot of threads on the farms. He's a hypocrite who never improves his art, so any amount of hatred and vitriol is completely justified. His post-gamergate political trajectory did him no favors in terms of how people treated him online, but I think we, the Internet, are the poorer for not being able to enjoy his dumbass comics anymore.

A lot of people want to have it both ways. They want to laugh at retards, but they also want to feel like they're still a good person. So they start magnifying whatever mote they see in their brother's eye, so that they can feel superior and like their actions are justified. There's something hypocritical about people moralizing about someone's personal failings as they kick them while they're down.

Ideally people should post this way, but the post reactions do probably work like an updoot/downdoot system in practice, rewarding people for expressing the consensus opinion and discouraging people from posting unpopular ones, just like on reddit. Now unlike reddit it won't actually lower the post's visibility, but it no doubt contributes to a lot of threads becoming cirle-jerks. Reactions can become an impediment to discussion since people can label a post as "bad" without having to put their own opinion and reasoning on the line by engaging with it.

Just dropping in to say that OP is so booty-blasted he keeps profile-posting and DM'ing me really confusing and autistic but relatively tame race-bait.

Oldfags are something else. I'm glad most of them are gone.

Not ass blasted at all, I said what I had to say, A&H is still a shithole and you still haven’t given me your consensus on the blacks yet? I’ve said my stance but what about yours? Too chicken to give me the low down? Your an abbo though so I shouldn’t be that surprised.
