I'm going to take a wild guess and say this is going to be a landslide, but from what I can tell a lot of people on here are relatively normal, so I might be surprised.

I worry that I am too introverted. I feel anxious when I'm not at home, even if it's somewhere I'm exceedingly comfortable like at relatives' homes. It isn't anything crippling, but I can't really relax anywhere but at home.

How do fellow Kiwis deal with being introverted? How do extroverted Kiwis feel when they don't have the opportunity to interact with others or get out and about?

me? Well it just so happens I'm...

So if that doesn't scream introvert, I don't know what does :/

I'm introverted only if the climate and group calls for that approach.
Face to face in the world at large is what I'm most comfortable with.

I grew up in a decently hectic city in the 80's but I've no problem with street crime at all.

I'm an extroverted person at heart, I do have tendencies to stay in and not be near people but, for the most part I love talking to others, going out and meeting people, etc etc. Which is funny to me because my 3 best friends are extreamely introverted which is surprising that they even stand me at all. I guess it goes back to that weird meme "extroverted people adopt introverts." Which is true. Not sure what that says abotu me but, there it is.

I'm more introverted, but not to an exaggerated level like a lot of autists online *coughredditcough* make being introverted out to be. I don't go into a Rain Man meltdown socializing with people, I don't use being introverted as an excuse to be an asshole. I just prefer my alone time or being around smaller groups of people rather than mingling in crowds, or being forced to make small talk with strangers.

And yeah, I'm aware of the irony of being on a forum meant to socialize with strangers in regards to everything I just said.

I don't even have any interest in having friends because I don't care about feelings and the rest of the stupid shit that you fleshbags spend your entire lives whining about.

Just give me a warm body and I'll turn it cold

Shit man, I love going outside to grab a few drinks, dance and punch shoulders and I'm the first person up when someone comes down to the office for assistance. It just so happens that I'm also a fucking asshole so I have no friends, though. Being extroverted doesn't mean shit unless you know when to stop talking.

Younger me would do the funny fat guy thing which generally worked to get people to like me and would often put me at the center of attention. I got into drugs and alcohol as a teen and stopped caring about the normies and their opinions. Thought I might be racist for a while, but I've finally settled on hating everybody sometime in my late twenties. Basically I'm one mental break away from chucking my computer and going full hermit.

I'm not the least bit shy, and I'll meet people and talk to strangers all day with no hesitation; indeed I used to do that for a living as a salesman.

But I don't have any friends I would miss if they died today, and if I had my druthers I'd stay home forever just poking randos on the internet.

So I think that makes me an extrovert? It's not that I dislike meeting people; I just dislike most of the people I know.

EDIT: I've had to take a personality test at every corporate job I've had, and I usually get ESTP with the picture of the guy doing finger guns. I must be pretty cool; no wonder people like me.
