Are you forklift certified?

Yes.
And it was very hard to do.
Why? Because despite my 15 years in the saddle having to do a few meaningless tasks in an absolutely empty warehouse was fucking daunting to me.
You had to take a pallet of the 4th tier and then go down the other end of the warehouse and put it on the bottom tier while doing a 360 somewhere around a random traffic cone.
I fucking worked for a living. 6 trucks backed up on the dock, cracked old floor, too tight turns, sales reps screaming at you, phone ringing, can't squeeze anything else in the racks, blind cunts running in front of you.
I remember the silly cunt tried to fail me because I didn't do a walk around & check the forklift before using it. I told him that's why we have maintenance staff at the Apple fucking warehouse you silly cunt fuck your clipboard where's the manager?

Yes.

I fucking shit you not though, they didn't give me the card, because "we don't do that anymore". Its been years anyway, but I remember that pissed me off so much because I wanted to put it on my resume but had no proof of it.

Yes. Best part is the college where I took the certification class at has a financial aid plan for the class. Even though it was a one day class, it paid for half the class.

First day at a warehouse job.

"Ever operate a forklift before?"
"No."
"OK. Sit on the lift. Turn the key. Gas and brake are like your car. Joystick: Up. Down. Shift left. Shift right. Tilt. You are now a forklift operator, go unload that truck."

A few years later when someone backed a lift off the loading dock, they got us real certifications. Maintained it across multiple jobs since.
