The "whoever wants to be protected can get the jab" line of thought is nice and dandy, but what about those that can't, even though they'd like to get jabbed? That and protection against mutations is what makes herd immunity so important after all.
It's something that a lof ot people sort of glance over.
Natural immunity contributes to herd immunity and unless you going to push for zero covid you will never stop mutations. It started in a bat, it has animal reservoirs.
