"Lessens symptoms" is the perfect claim. It's also the claim for those Emergen-C tablets that got hit with a class action lawsuit for making misleading claims that it lessened symptoms/prevented cold and flu infection (Coincidentally, Pfizer owns Emergen-C and was the owner at the time of the misleading marketing campaign). It's unprovable that it lessens or worsens your symptoms since you can't simultaneously be your own control. It's a lot easier to say it didn't work if you still catch covid — which this and many other people did — and that was the initial claim, prevention entirely, but now the goalpost has moved to trying to prove a negative, so there's no productive argument to he had.
