Are you getting the vaccine? - Absolute trashfire thread, please enter with caution

is a join date like Reddit Karma for you?
The newer a user's join date, the more likely they are to be a terminally online autist whose crippling autism has made them spend way too much time on /pol/, which has given them the worldview of someone 3 times their age. You are a perfect example of this being true. Stop acting like a 75 year old religious zealot and believing every boomer FB meme that promotes insane conspiracy theories, and maybe people will stop making fun of you

so it's like me having negative karma. Big chungus doggo I did a bad thing in the name of science

You stupid fuck, my God way to give up bodily autonomy.
Not to derail this beautiful slap fight, but I've been doing so reflecting recently. I have accumulated all my knowledge about this vaccine from online slap fights, information both positive and negative have come from random assholes online. Generally I like to be a bit more mature and levelheaded with my decision making, so I decided to actually get some real info on this subject. Going out and talking to several doctors (and some acquittances who work in the medical industry) was a truly eye-opening experience, they gave me a much more mixed and nuanced perspective than I was anticipating, it wasn't the blind advocacy I expected. Every concern I brought up was met with honest discussion which they backed up with hard data. Really it was shocking how much I misunderstand or just had bad info on.

For each concern about the vaccine I brought up they were very understanding. Although, they were able to demonstrate how even though my concerns were legitimate, the pros far outweighed the cons. Going through that discussion once didn't mean much, but having multiple experts earnestly talking things over really affected me. Genuinely going into this I didn't think there was any way my position could change, but I was surprised how much it did. Once I'd gotten done talking to them all, I realized my mind had been changed and I scheduled a visit to get the vaccine next week. To anyone disappointed in me changing my stance, consider trying the same thing I did and see where it gets you, regardless of what choice you end up making the experience can only strengthen your position.
You may see but you are still blind

Is "the current thing over"?

Personally, I absolutely ignored it.
Out of the 5 people I know who got the vaccine, everyone felt like shite afterward, and 3 got the virus after the vaccine anyway, which seems like pretty bad statistics to me.
only 1 family member took it who i know and later they felt sick and bad
he wanted to visit their mother. but they died on the way

My job requires me to be in constant contact with people. Among many close encounters, I've had to quarantine multiple times because I've had roommates come down with the coof, and I had to take care of my parents when they both got the coof at the same time. Freaked out when I got a scratchy throat during the latter, but nothing came of it.

The fact that I have had so many close contacts and take very few precautions, but have not contracted the Rona personally, means one of two things: Either I'm a carrier, or me not getting the jab was the smart move all along.
Hell, my mom didn't get the jab, but my dad did. Guess who had it worse?

Edit: forgot a word

I know I am genetically far superior to anti-vaxers, which made it no surprise that I have no side effects to either shot.
I would say I'm genetically superior to the average covid vax enthusiast since I got the china virus early on and barely noticed it. This was the original variant that was putting fatties and seniors on ventilators at a terrifying rate. And I never caught it again despite close contact with multiple covid+ people, most of whom were vaxxed and had caught it for the 3rd or 4th time. So yeah, I'd say I'm genetically superior to them for sure.

Either I'm a carrier
You know what happens to Carriers.

Nah, if you were genetically superior you wouldn't be terrified of a little jab and you wouldn't throw a temper tantrum and claim you can't breathe when you are asked to wear a mask. Children wear masks on Halloween and breathe just fine, hence you're admitting that children are tougher and more alpha than you.

I was exposed to covid a bunch and never developed symptoms. I also got boosted last week and had zero side effects. I am sorry but you're genetically inferior

You are a goober screaming into the void for upvotes. This is not real life and you are changing nothing.
