One time when I was younger and stupider, I met up with an online friend to go shopping. We had just left the grocery store and she immediately started eating raw ground beef straight out of the package, right there in the parking lot in front of my disbelieving eyes. With her bare, unwashed hands. I almost barfed. Anyway, if crazy shit happens, I hope it's shit like that instead of just finding out that a bunch more users are closet lolicons.

Do you have a habitual spending problem or is this a budget problem?

Typically if you have a budget plan, stick to that as best as possible. But if you have a habitual spending problem ask yourself if you actually can afford the item, or need/will find value, use and joy in an item.
Most of the time if im looking at buying something impulsively for a dopamine rush I sit on it for a few days.

If you don't already I would highly recommend creating a budget and actualy tracking your spending over time. It has really helped me get a handle on my wasteful spending and helped me save for stuff I actually care about.

I've started using actual budget https://actualbudget.org/#features and have really liked it but I also work in finance so this makes sense for me. Somthing else might work better for you. What matters is avoiding "vibe spending" and getting in the habit of keeping yourself accountable.
