Are you ready for when society collapses?

too much infrastructure for it to all disappear
If you got an unhinged group, you can really make a big chunk of said infrastructure inoperable within a few days. I know Null doesn't like to have this discussion, but if you lurk around the Internet there are ways to pretty much wipe out electrical grids and derail trains with very low effort. Since the Ukraine-Russia shit went down 2022 secret police/national security have been on copium since a lot of infrastructure is very vulnerable for very simple sabotage methods. I think America has a similar panic in their security organisations as well.

Infrastructure won't disappear, it will be inoperable, which is pretty much the same result for you: No access to it.
far top much info documented, patented, archived.
Things are not as organized and documented as one might think. I have seen some pretty bad documents related to fields that seems important for things to run. Only reason things are going still smoothly is because the boomers who build it or the second generation of the ones who maintain it are still alive, you can still give retired people a call etc. Also, as much as it hurts to admit this, my generation can't read and understand "long texts" that is often in older documents, with these new gen. university faggots etc, even if you gave them access to an archive: Could they really utilize it? There are some zoomies that can, but the procentage is lower than the boomer one.
The men who built the machines are dead.
There will only be transitions/splits of government and new (or old)
Those transitions will be a mess... it's not just a "transition".

Well, look at the bright side, if society collapses I'm going straight to the Jag dealership to get me the car I always wanted.

Fair point, but this is way more than we've had back then. Even after the collapse of the Roman empire Europe did not go all into complete barbarity (besides major cities which happened to have the hedonists). National infrastructure may be gone, but people's ability to setup basic support structures (even communications) is easier than ever. It's your 7G internet and GoyHub servicez that'll be long gone. Now, active suppression of infrastructure by various groups (even-"post" collapse) brings up different variables. Of course G̶e̶r̶m̶a̶n̶y̶ ̶o̶r̶ ̶S̶e̶r̶b̶i̶a̶ Ukraine will not be able to operate well if their critical structures are bombed everytime they're setup.

Indeed. The competency crisis and bio-leninism etc. But I take it by the Pareto principle that 10% of society sustains 90% of the other's existence. There generally will always be competent and capable people- the problem is, will they be listened to, or killed because they're ebil wyte pepil.

As you stated:
The men who built the machines are dead.

Yep, like I said, weimar, ussr, etc. It will be a mess, not a collapse. Many will die at the hands of others or lack of there off, but that is change and transition in its pure definition (as I call it).

I'm not going to neglect history, but there is no documented case where you had multiple beliefs, race/ethnicities so close to eachother as we have today (we talking intercontinental levels of races and religions here, not just neighbouring countries as retards often cope with). I honestly think that we can not use the Roman fall as a refrence due to it's empire and its leftovers was still mostly homogeneous Europeans. You don't need that much of an authority for us to get organized and get to work in order to get our shit together. The same can not be said for Africans (and Arabs) that are now presence in Europe and America to very noticeable degree.

When this "tolerance" goes out the window, it will be much worse than the Roman empire fall. I think people have forgotten how much resources goes into "keeping extremism/racism" away from the public, but as soon real scarcity pops up and there is not more media to "calm people down", people will go back to their own and not give a shit about the others. We have already seen with immigrants that was given a free housing, education and other benefits on the expense of the natives that they still choose to backstab its host country, imagine when it's all gone what would happen.

I know it's sounds like your typical /pol/ meme here, but it hard to imagine something else when the memes are always keeps being true.

Honestly our Collapse won't be a Roman Empire, but where the United States becomes like a 3rd world nation where you can't trust that the water coming out of your tap won't be poisoned, the police will actually do their job and not just extort money, gangs and other criminal dregs going to run amok, institutions being beyond compromised,etc... The competency crisis if its real will be the death kneel of United States as a global superpower much how the competency crisis killed the Soviet Union.

After surviving several projected Apocalypses, I have come to realize humanity is stronger and more resilient than anyone gives it credit. But I can expect, seven days a week, to hear Chicken Little chirping about how the sky is falling.

Preppers think its gonna be Mad Max when really its just gonna be Brasil. Life goes on but progressively people get poorer, stupider, browner and more corrupt with a few developed bubbles and more wealthy people living in gated communities with private security. surrounded by lawless guetto.
This. Society collapsing isn't like a building toppling over. It's a multi generational thing, like a mold that grows and is never cleaned up.

The idea of a collapse is appealing because we're monkeys wearing human suits and the clothes we wear and plays we perform don't always match our coded expectations.

But when society collapses it's because another was growing under it that replaces it. People don't start acting all that differently when shit goes down, because people are used to behave in the patterns they are behaving in right now.

Even the Fall of Rome lasted like 300 years , it was a slow damn process.

The men who built the machines are dead.
They will be able to, if pushed.

I would suggest to everyone - get and familiarise yourself with old fashioned, manual tools. Ninety percent of it will be using tools with your own hands, and the remaining 10% will be using that to get more advanced shit to work.

There's plenty to salvage if you need to - but you can't do much without those tools. Clay is common in nature, and you can build furnaces out of clay for most metals. Steel needs something more fancy, but for most of the world the only things you'll struggle to locate are food, water or energy. As such, the manual tools are much more useful.

The USA is basically a nation pretending to be European.

It's imposter syndrome of the worst type. There wasn't some vast conquest, you blundered into a war and then took everything you could get your hands on. The USA pretends like it's a sophisticated, history-rich Empire when in reality, it's just Brazil with oil.

Seriously, the parallels are too much, the USA has more in common with Brazil than it does with literally any other country on the planet. Even culturally, you're closer to Brazil than you are to Canada.
