Back in the 00s we called things what they were and we just said what we were doing. You didn't say "this content creator released a new media product that I am now going to consume", you said "I'm going to watch this video that blah blah uploaded today". Can we go back to speaking like normal people rather than a robotic textbook?

En cuanto al término principal, es mejor creador de contenido que "streamer" o "emisor/transmisor".

Aunque sí utilizan términos como "banear" an vez de "bloquear", pero eso es porque son "cool & hip, my friend".

I mainly use "media" when being general, like if I upload different files such as videos, images, writings, etc. If I'm watching a video, I'm not saying "I'm consuming a media product", only shitty journalists on blogs address it like that, and clickbait YouTubers.

Though I like referring to consuming media as consuming media and products as products because it dispels any illusions that it isn't what it is. It's not a hobby, you're not doing anything, you're not exercising your generative drive, you're a fat piggy consuming fiction like slop from a trough and handing money to a company as a means of self-expression.
