From the developer himself, you can kinda have sex in this. You can have sex in this, yet curiously the game isn't explicitly 18+ and NSFW on the steam storefront. Why is this?

You can continue to try and ballwash it if you'd like, but it's a game that has sex baked into it by design and was intentionally released without being marketed as an adult game. It caters to the exact boykisser crowd that wants to lure children into its environment, same as the Roblox ERP gang, and you are a fool to continue dismissing it.

We are arguing in circles at this point. You need actual hard evidence of the dev trying to groom children. Everything we have discussed simply points to the game not being intended for children. We know of the boykisser/roblox gangs because of explicit evidence of their operations and existence. If you believe there is much more going on then you need hard evidence.

I was actually looking into this game a week ago since it popped into my steam feed. None of the weird tags and fag items showed up in the videos of people playing the game.

I had already done so myself. At the end of the day, this game has all of the same ingredients in its foundation as communities we've seen in the past. Anecdotal evidence suggests there is a clear precedent for these faggots to congregate in these spaces with the express purpose of luring minors into private chats off-platform. It happened on Roblox, it happened on VRC, it will happen with Webfishing.

To be clear, since Temmie is making a big fuss of me calling everybody a pedo defender, I do not at all believe @biglurker to be one.

He and I disagree on what the intentions of the developer and the community are, and while I'm willing to concede that there's 0 proof whatsoever that the developer himself is one (not that I'd alleged this to begin with), I stand by my points that he's fostering an environment where this behavior can propagate. At best it's willful negligence and just being pants-on-head retarded, but at the end of the day Webfishing represents a microcosm of what we've seen in larger communities. However, all that considered, both he and I find the behavior of that community to be repugnant. We simply have different perspectives on the intent of the developer, as I'm generally inclined to believe that dev knows full well what's going on and will continue to double down and egg on his coomer userbase.

I would like Temmie to notice how me disagreeing with another user doesn't also lead me to think he must also be a pedo-defender. BigLurker, critically, lacks the dogfucking and age-of-consent posts for me to start wondering that.

I agree with the general sentiment, and it's one that Null himself has expressed. You don't just slap that on somebody without being able to back it up. However, I do think what we've seen in regards to the game's community so far leads me, personally, to believe that this community is going to turn into a smaller version of what we've already seen in others. That's to say nothing of the developer himself, because he hasn't said anything of the sort, but he has generally only doubled down so far. He nuked his discord, I'll give him that, and the only shred of optimism I have is that he's going to crack down on his community content, but we'll see. I'm willing to give him some benefit of the doubt that he bit off more than he could chew.

Thing is, I would respect webfishing a lot more if it was just put out as an onlime sex dungeon. But they do neither.
