However.. It just comes down *entirely* to luck.

The thing is, this girl at 23 is already fucked because she should be way more mature and switched on already to the ways of the world, and if she hasn't learnt it now, she won't.
Her only hope is finding some lame, similarly unintelligent dude to be with forever.

We can also assume she absolutely fucking blows at acting/doing anything within the actual framework of school, and is probably deeply annoying, and people are probably trying to ice her out so they don't get lumbered with her in groups where... they have to act things out and they have one hugely distracting person in the troupe (I don't really know what goes on in dram a school tbf but I am using my imagination)

A man trying to chat up a disoriented, socially clueless, obviously friendless girl at a sleazy bar at 3 AM by buying her drinks hardly represents the average (straight) citizen. That is my point. Even if the guy is harmless 9 times out of 10, those are still some pretty dangerous odds. It's not a normal situation, and the only positive I recognized from her retelling of the event was the fact that she at least knew this.

I would on the other hand claim that no, if there is a woman that looks to be in harms way or seems to be vulnerable it is your duty as a man to protect her. This is how I was raised as a western white man, and this is how I'm raising my son.

But I understand that if you grew up on Swedish state propaganda that you beleive that all men are ready to at a moments notice drop everything, chop up a prostitute with any other random man, like in the case of Catherine da Costa, and then act like nothing, because all men are evil.
