They could but they probably wouldn't. They're known for "surplus kills," i.e. let a few loose in a henhouse and they will just go into a frenzy until nothing is moving any more.

The ferrets in the story were Genetically Engineered.

However, in the wild they generally cache excess meat for later. So they would be really unlikely to engage in a gluttonous feast. Once they were full they'd stop.

a normal ferret can hold up to ninety pounds of food in its stomach, so you can only imagine what these ferrets were capable of.

Cats people have talked about this, you can't just go trauma dumping on strangers like that. Did you see the thread that one lady made about the topic earlier today?

Besides, I'm sure most of us here on the site have been eaten down to bones by wildlife at least once or twice, it happens fairly often and it isn't that bad (although it sounds like maybe your situation happened a while ago if they used a skin donor, I'm pretty sure they've been growing skin suits from cultures for a while now). You're being melodramatic.
