Is Spiderverse good?

Sure, it's capeshit, but it's not Disney capeshit and it also has a better animation style than modern Disney/Pixar. Although I'm sure people will hate it when it becomes mainstream.

Anyone who votes Yes, Kinda, or I prefer anime is a pedophile that supports sex trafficking of children.

People on here hate the sequel because of the cringe pro-trans posters in the background, but the movie's plot making "canon" an actual plot point and saying that not liking Miles means you're the same as someone who's willing to let entire universes get destroyed is peak modern-day writing.

Every now and then I remind myself that the people at Disney thought they could replace Spidey as the flagship Marvel character.

Yes, Captain Marvel was meant to replace Spider-Man.

They really thought they could fucking replace Spidey. I'm not even a big fan or anything, but that's on par with a child telling you he's changing his name to "President Dracula Frankenstein." It's just nonsense.

in their defense, their thinking was likely caused by sony still technically having spider man and them being uncertain if they'd be able to make anymore spider man content back when they were still trying to deal with that back in like the late 2010s

I was under the impression they had a deal with Sony, they just didn't want to share (they were involved with pre-MCU Spidey films). It seems like Marvel thought they'd just make a better superhero and then leave Spidey to Sony, just like they tried deemphasizing the X-Men and FF in the comics while boosting the Inhumans. Kamala Khan was actually an Inhuman, though she's recently been killed and will be resurrected as a mutant. Chatter online is she's going to be the first MCU mutant, but online chatter says a lot of shit.
