Furries, if you define anthropomorphic animals as furries, were always mainstream. In cartoons for little baby children. It's not going to change.
Exceptions such as Fritz the Cat, Felidae, Animal Farm or Watership Down show that it is possible to use this convention to tell a story meant for adults but none of those books \ movies changed the paradigm.

I guess furries may have created some modern Pokémon (Incineroar lol), but furry characters definitely did not give us Pokémon. The series comes from Satoshi Tajiri's experiences with collecting bugs (not furry). A majority of the first 151 Pokémon (the Kanto ones) are definitely inspired by monsters and animals, not anthros (which is what I would consider a "furry" character). Even with modern Pokémon, you can tell the majority are inspired by animals or a concept of some kind, rather than some anthro. It would be easier to argue the opposite (Pokémon gave us furry characters) considering how some furries get their start. I can't speak for the other series you listed, but your inclusion of Pokémon as things "furry characters gave us" makes me not believe you (even more).
