Argue with a handful of individuals over the DOGE's "report your work" scheme. Both unemployed and employed are welcome

You know it's really illuminating. KF is a conservative leaning website and most people here agree Elon is retarded. But I go on youtube and sort the comments by newest on the first news video I can find about this and its this shit:

Goes to show how much of the internet is a bot infested shithole now.

It does honestly make me happy when I see that nobody is capable of rebutting a position I hold. I can't be sure that I'm right unless my ideas survive being testing. The biggest "fuck you" that anyone can ever deliver to me is to prove me wrong.

Calling me names, on the other hand, is demonstrating that you can't prove me wrong.

this is a threaded discussion forum. In any discussion, if someone says something that is factually incorrect, multiple people will correct them. That's the way it is in every forum, including this one.

If I said something like, "Elon Musk will be the next president" guess what the replies would be - the replies would link me to article 2 of the constitution and tell me that Musk is not eligible.

That's what happens when you're wrong.

What happens when you're right, but you've triggered people? Well, triggered people lash out like children.

This isn't a "debate hall" but I am trouncing all of you in (what passes for) debate.

Yes, there is. It's a fallacy here just like it's a fallacy on, for example, reddit. Getting downvoted on reddit doesn't make you wrong, it makes you unpopular.

No, the fallacy fallacy is saying that someone is wrong *because* they committed a fallacy. For example, if someone says, "the earth is round, retard" and someone else replies, "you used an ad-hom so that means the earth is flat" <--- that is the fallacy fallacy.
Exactly, if we're correct then pointing out fallacies is fallacious. Appeal to popularity on a forum meant for entertainment is the ultimate argument. It is only fallacious in science or court. Now, why do you simp for a self admitted child molester? I'm just wanting to figure that one out.

You only say that because you're not capable of presenting a rational argument.

If you feel I missed something, then please point it out to me.

At this point, after all the people calling me a fag and making up stuff I didn't say (like you hallucinating that I said to do something your boss explicitly said not to) - it is reasonable for me to doubt that I missed anything.

Sorry, but that's where we're at. It is not reasonable for you to ask me to scroll up pass all the "lol fag" and "you've never had a job" meaningless replies to find that one magical pearl of a substantive argument that you supposedly made.

If I missed something, repeat it. That's reasonable.
Honestly, shit like that just happens. I tap'd out and I don't think my or your argument is worth further iteration - I know that I got to a point where I'd have to cite legalese to convince you that DOGE's authority isn't as clear cut as you think it is - another idea I posed was that guys not answering under such orders are setting a precedent you could cite in legal proceedings, if you were actually fired over not indulging elon's games - you think that's more dangerous than complying and I don't.

The gotcha video of trump you posted wasn't that much of a gotcha on the issue either. Sure, at the end he convinced himself that the orders to not answer are given to feds who work with security clearances, but note how he started out with saying people who don't respond are fired or "semi-fired". Huh, wut? He has no idea what's going on either and it made me wonder what happened to guys who already, naively responded on things elon's "department" has no security clearance for in the first place - will they later be fired for that too? So many questions... I would coordinate with my colleagues to be as obstinate as possible on this whole thing until my direct superiors told me unambiguously to comply with DOGE. That's all I was saying.

Consider this:

It is only fallacious in science or court.
Very 🌈 on the science and legal proceedings. But yeah, you get it.
Most will probably be able to even argue with consensus in court over their non-compliance:
"Most of us just didn't know what to do. Look at xyz not doing it."

Where as answering will go something like this:
@byron PM me a list of accomplishments by end of day. If you do not I will consider you banned
- explained the obvious purpose of the email: to identify federal workers who are so useless that this simple task is a burden for them.
- pointed out the ridiculousness of refusing to list one's accomplishments by screaming, "he's not my boss"
- triggered Hollywood Hulk Hogan
- triggered YHWH's Strongest Soldier
- triggered きたい
You will end up arguing from whatever stupid shit you wrote in that email or said in a hearing onward:
you can't even follow simple instructions, I said PM

Which is a shit sandwich.

How hard is it to respond to an email? I did this, that and the other. Email sent, now back to fucking around.

I used to fire other people's staff for a living and no one, but no one, has used this gay 'tell me about ur week' email shit in decades.

You use the hard performance metrics you've been collecting. You haven't been collecting those, you say. Well, you can't manage what you don't measure. Performance metrics - easily measurable, directly related to productivity and processes, time limited, outcome limited - come in, they come in now, and in three months performance management process comes in, and in six months the firings begin. Everyone who can't or won't hustle to keep their salary loses theirs.

You don't let people tell you how good they are at their job because the people who are best at that, almost without exception, are the people who are spending all their work time bullshitting and CV polishing and coasting off the work of those who are actual productive units. The Soviets shot those people for a reason. Those people are actively costing you money by taking the salary of someone who can actually exceed your performance metrics. People are not paid to 'upskill to the C suite'; they are paid to sit their fucking arse down and make money for you. The people you actually want to tap for upwards movement in the org will make themselves known by fucking delivering, and that means fucking delivering whatever bullshit task you have set them. You don't need any cunt around who is too good or too 'skilled' to graft.

The weird smelling old lady who never talks to anyone but clears 200 cases per day is worth her weight in gold. The late twenties 'management aspirational' guy who spends 25% of his time blagging his way into meetings he doesn't need to be at and booking himself on endless additional training to 'develop his skills portfolio' deserves to be hurled off the top of the building. That cunt is stealing a wage and performance metrics, not emails full of bullshit, are how you find and eliminate him and all those like him.

I don't understand why this is such a big deal. If I was asked to list 5 things I did in the last five days without going into details, I would be done in like three minutes, my report would include no sensitive information and would be understandable to anybody in the company.

Not to get into the weeds of this on KF of all places, but the issue is that Elon & his clowns want all the power but also want to be exempt from all the responsibilities of said power.

Meaning, they want to be able to make sweeping decisions and demands of people, but also want to act as if they’re an advisory group to the president only (and not what they’re actually doing which is being an advisory arm to agencies). It’s one or the other. It’s also the reason they’ve lost at all in court, because they can’t answer basic ass questions like “who is the head of DOGE”. The fact that no govt lawyer answers that says a lot.

(This also gets into FOIA, where by acting as special govt employees under the executive makes you exempt from FOIA but also means they don’t have the power they are acting like they do)

Elon is treating this like a private company where he can just do whatever and pay a fee to settle if he oversteps too far, but it doesn’t work like that.
