Not to defend Arin, but I thought they got married when he was just a broke ass new-grounds animator/Disney park employee and well before they started seeing stacks of gamegrumps dollars.

I still think it's a little autistic, but it's probably something two young kids could do on the cheap that meant something to them. Arin grew up pretty poor and probably didn't have much in the way of ring money and it sounds like neither did his family at the time.

No, they were married when the Grumps were first taking off (during the Jon era). And, even though they weren't making the bank they are nowadays, you don't need to be a wealthy e-celeb to be a millenial douchbag.

I don't know how poor they were; they got married/Honeymooned in Japan, after all - and, from what I recall of the photos, it was a pretty ritzy set up (i.e. - not cheap). 'course, they could have saved up for it/put it all on credit - but, who knows.

I would imagine that a lot of poorer couples would opt to spend the budget (of ~$3-7k) on a honeymoon trip instead of expensive rings.

But I certainly don't know his life, just that he grew up poor and doesn't (still to this day) handle money well. He's like any rapper who makes it big, he's going to go broke like MC Hammer.

Well, she recently got "better". All the etsy and "people only dislike me because I'm a giiiiirrrrlll" bullshit was years ago. She mostly stopped doing stupid, embarrassing fashion and make up videos. So there's really very little to discuss about her. I guess the pansexual thing (btw can anyone link me to the relevant post/video/whatever?) has potential but it's probably the same nonsense a lot of woke e-celebs are doing: trying to get into the LGTBQalphabetsalad by hypothetically adopting some kind of abnormal sexuality.

There are times where he says “niggs”, like the knuckles chaotix video. Not sure if that’s as severe, but he’s kept that unedited (for now)
