🌟 Internet Famous Arin Hanson / Egoraptor / Grump - "Hey I'm Grump!" of Game Grumps fame, hypocritical SJW doxer, shat himself recording a let's play

Hey Arin while you're at it, delete this too.

This episode of his Awesome series got him removed from MTV, supposedly. I never knew that these shorts aired on MTV but the fact he still hasn't deleted this?
Well. Let's just say I'm glad. Because it's easy pickings.

Surprised to see nobody has posted this. I know DDVG is old news and only tangentially related to GG/Arin but confirmation that Chris was under NDA is news to me.

Has anyone ever tried to start a thread on DingDong? I don't get much enjoyment from him; seeing him get riled up makes me sad more than anything, but his behavior could definitely be considered lolcow-esque.
So in order to take a break from the Internet because people won't stop harassing him over Dream Daddy, he's instead going to the place where that shit all began and where it's become old hat at this point, rekindling that flame by adding gasoline to the fire talking about new information like the NDA, and reopening the wound for everybody to see while he's at the epicenter of it all.

I know that what happened caused him to spiral into the deepest darkest depression he's ever had in his life especially after he was ousted to his family over it, but after 3 years: maybe he should stop going to RantGrumps (even if you're still pissed at the one person there who triggered it all) and stop engaging with people that are constantly looking for drama to talk about.

I feel bad for dingdong, the fact that people are still contacting his family is bizarre. What is with the lovelies?

That's what happens when your personal information gets doxxed to literal children and sycophants due to your mutual employers. ...At least that's what I got from it, given what he's said about this previously on RG; although now he's saying that everyone in Game Grumps was okay about it and that it all blew over - even though in his aforementioned previous post on it, he said that it was because of somebody on the DD team releasing that info in secret that this all - but whatever the case, his information will still be floating out in the ether like that forever and there's not much he can really do about it now.

EDIT: Twitter currently being a cesspool where people are getting doxxed, harassed, and bullied for staying silent over BLM - be they left or right, big personality or small, and where just the mere act of staying silent that makes you liable to get hit with those people - probably isn't helping things either.

I don't know if you've ever watched one of Dingdong's streams, but that guy is just a black hole of negativity. He's funny and I like him when he stays on topic, but there was a time when he regularly got baited by single people in chat into going over the same drama again and again for hours on end. One time I went to bed and the next day he was still streaming, driving circles in the hubworld of Crash Team Racing in the same spot and talking about this shit while constantly claiming that he doesn't want to talk about it. That dude is his own worst enemy.

I don't think dingdong is a lolcow and I don't think he's wrong to still be upset about this stuff neither. It sounds like a rough time for him and theres a probably a lot of autistic fans, both lovelies and OneyPlays fans constantly poking at his old wounds. I don't think he's actually done anything serious beyond being the only one willing to speak up on the subject.

...That explains a lot.

Man, is DD really lolcow-esque? From what I can tell he clearly has mental health issues and just seems to hate himself tremendously, so that may explain why he responds to bait, it's probably just a self-hatred thing that fuels his motivations to do so. I think he's stated a few times that he never wanted to reach the status he's reached, he just wants to focus on what he loves, and I respect the hell outta him for that. I think him and Julian both have just recieved the fucked end of "internet fame."

DingDong strikes me as the type of person who just wasn't built to understand and deal with internet culture. Don't know his age, but he's almost boomer-like in his inability to ignore drama. Getting d.oxxed sucks, but there are plenty of people who have threads on the Farms with them, that end up being so un-lulzy that they get buried and it becomes a non-issue. It's best that he and Julian got away from all of it and generally avoid online spats, but the issue is that their platform from Oneyplays is part of what has drummed up interest for the game they've been working on forever (which looks really fun, for the record.)

Julian was always funnier anyway. His wheeze is music.

I think Ding Dong stepping away from social media and the internet will be good for him, if he can actually get himself to step away from social media and the internet.
I understand that feeling where you know you don't want to be doing something but you can't stop doing it. The feeling is often brought up in respect to alcoholics, smokers, and drug addicts but it can be present in other areas of life as well. People who eat more food than they know they should, people who waste time on social media, people who read the news compulsively, and so on.

If I can play armchair psychologist for a moment, it sounds like he has a desire and a compulsion. The desire comes from intelligent thought. He knows what he wants to do and what he should be doing. The compulsion is his lizard brain telling him to do something. That can be eating, that can be sex, or that can be focusing on something it sees as a threat. His desire comes from a very well grounded thinking brain, but his compulsions are just stronger. "That whole area of your life is filled with threats, focus on it". When the compulsions take over it's like he's a passenger in his own body, which is a rotten feeling (I know). You start blaming yourself and it can get very dark. It's tough to deal with if you don't have the tools, and even if you have the tools it's hard to practice using them.

It's not the boomerness. People on the internet, especially here, come with a sense of abandonment and societal removal. It's a coping mechanism. It makes you be able to laugh. Maybe he doesn't have that inkling, maybe he thought sacrificing that would infringe on his life too much.

In any case I don't think he's okay. He says he doesn't talk about all these - but he succumbs to that "one" message that eventually pops up in that chat. It's almost admirable how he seems to be able to pinpoint some of the more personal or digging questions, sometimes, avoiding the positive reinforcement. I've heard friends say that he's doing it intentionally, gathering pity points while eating his cake by putting more drama out there. I don't believe in that.

I feel very sorry for him. I like this guy a lot, I like what he tries to make and I like his passion behind video games. He was so fucking right about Dream Daddy and how it was such a cynical product to milk the impressionable Game Grumps fanbase, 12-year olds who decide to call themselves gay as a fashion statement. I'll always admire him for trying to speak out about that. I believe he yearns for comeuppance, he inherently wants to talk about some stuff - but it definitely gives him a physical form of stress (he had a mild ulcer attack, hope he's better recently) and that his low self-esteem doesn't allow him to feel like he's worthy of comeuppance. That's why he pays no heed to good words too.

I don't think DingDong is lacking anything, I think he's too decent, at least for the internet. And... perhaps that's what you meant in the first place.

I think he just a little obsessive. Here's a chatlog from when he went by Hoopwise and was the editor of TheBestGamers. They did a stream with Justin Roiland for the 2013 E3. He said that Justin wanted to get them a show on Adult Swim, but everyone else just wanted to do Second Life videos and didn't want to put the work into making a show, so they broke up. I've seen people say he was whiteknighting Krissy, but considering what he says in the logs, I dont blame him.

Update on the Archiving Project

I figured out a schedule to set for myself so that I can do these things quicker. Since I'm still ordered to work from home due to CoronaChan, I'll be ripping the vids from YouTube during that time and converting them to a better format. Once I'm off the clock, I'll work on the "Complete" vids.

Not that much since Saturday due to real life shit yesterday, but here's what's new:
  • GG Video "Funny Mii Thing" is up seperate from everything else (it's in the main GGJTVIDEOS folder)
  • Zelda is complete
  • GG Versus Jeopardy now has a "complete" video, so that game is finished.
  • Secret Of Mana is up, but missing a "complete" video

Proof is here (a .5/5 Star review for "TOME Episode 1" on Newgrounds):
"Let me reason with you.

I'm really disappointed in your ability to not listen to anything at all.

You have two people who have successfully made a career out of animation, joke telling, and design, and these are the two people you're adamantly choosing not to listen to.

I just think you genuinely don't understand anything about direction, story telling, character development, or visual design, but you're convinced that you do.

Your colors suck. Since the first time I ever talked to you I told you your colors suck and they still do. It's not a choice, it's not a "style," they're ugly. There's no harmony. I can't even describe where to start because it's all so wrong. Please paint or... something. Just get a handle on some color theory somehow, read some books, watch Thundercats.

Your characters are 2 dimensional and I find no joy in watching them. Okay, I get it, that was your choice. Great, but it's still boring. I could choose to put dogshit in a soup because it was my intention but it's still going to be disgusting soup. I find your characters' snarky archetypal "personalities" an embarrassing chore to sit through and I think a little humanizing and something any audience can relate to would add to them greatly. Also motivation helps. And backstory. Who are these people? What do they want? What do they like? Why should I like them?

The story... my god, what is even happening? Typically you set up some kind of clear conflict or motivation for the characters right away but, I don't know, nobody seemed to be attempting to accomplish something and none of the characters aahsdhgjhsgljh THIS MOVIE IS A MESS.

But look, I get everything you're trying to do, honestly I do, but you're failing at all of it. Clearly you wanted to write an engaging story and you failed. Clearly you wanted to make likeable characters and you failed. Clearly you wanted to have an appealing "style" that RPG fans can appreciate and you failed.

Your biggest problem is you can't even grasp the concept that you may be really bad at all the things you're trying to do "on purpose" and you're writing any criticism off as people just not getting it: it's not "our thing." Take a step back and realize that there are some people who deserve to be listened to because they know what the fuck they're talking about. They're not being mean, they're just being honest." -Egoraptor, November 17th 2011

Jesus, I was under the impression that Arin actually cared about the arts. Maybe I should start nuking my old posts about him on here for having a shitty opinion. I'd like to think most people who genuinely care about their craft would be nurturing and do whatever they could to prop other people up, not try and shoot them down when they get started. Granted, I have no idea who it is he's critiquing here (saw the name, didn't check their content), but as long as it's not some ass like Enter who just wants money to do nothing, people who actually want to make shit deserve better than Arin.

You think it'd be worth trying to archive animations and remixes, since this seems to have gotten kicked off after Arin liked that one tweet of the animator removing his TRIGGER WARNING: J*NTR*N animateds, or would that be too massive an undertaking?

This one continues to be relevant lol
