He points out that the charity from the first and also coincidentally run by Arin is one where they give money to a horse ranch where Arinj's mom just so happens to live at. Might've been mentioned sometime in this thread but I think this is good for posterity.

Healing Horse is a non-profit therapy center mostly for veterans that uses horses as a therapy tool. Arin Hanson doesn't run it to my knowledge. It was founded and is run by his mother and he's talked about it a great deal over the years. I don't see any proof of her living on said ranch or not(though she may since it is a ranch) but there are reviews available on Facebook and semi frequent updates which makes it seem legitimate.

Late to this whole drama, but can't believe that bitch is dating that peethan guy. My first exposure to this guy, like most people I imagine, was him calling out commentary YouTubers making fun of iDubbbz debasing himself for his years of "problematic" content and saying a teenager deserved to be bullied for making a tweet laughing at Anisa doing onlyfans. The top comment of this video being "bruh who let this man have free speech?"
There should be a dedicated thread to the supermega shit but it's dead news anyway, but for the lack of any place to talk about this besides the dedicated MatI thread, the whole situation is very funny. I can empathise with the supermega guys while also realising that they definitely brought this on themselves by choosing to be LA influencers and hiring other influencers to help run their business. All these channels - SuperMega, Game Grumps - should stop trying to pander to the masses and the woke LA crowd, or just cut your business down to you and the two friends of yours who you play games with. Maybe an editor or two if you want time to work on other projects.

Healing Horse has been talked about before, and IIRC people had their suspicions that it was some type of scam or tax evasion scheme but I can't remember if there was any concrete evidence for it or not.
 
This is most likely going to be my last post about Supermega since the drama is pretty much over. Someone on the subreddit dug up a tweet from EthanisOnline (Lex's boyfriend) that heavily implies this whole drama was planned months in advance. Ethan with his girlfriend and disgruntled ex employee Leighton planned and weaponized her getting sexually assaulted to get revenge on Matt and Ryan. Some truly psychopathic LA shit.

Haven't listened to the podcast/kept up with videos since Matt and Ryan started dropping their "edgy" comedy in favor of hamfisted political jabs and blather. Between the end of Cyndago and the beginning years of SuperMega, they were genuinely funny people. Their videos with Chris & co. felt "natural". Anyone could tell Matt and Ryan got along with the Oneyplays crew because they shared a similar sense of humor. Nothing felt forced because it wasn't. It seemed there were good things in store for the two. They worked their asses off at Game Grumps, and were finally putting in the work for their own endeavors.
And then... California.

I think the most shocking things to come out of this are that:
Matt and Ryan are a lot worse than I ever imagined. To their friends, their coworkers. As people.
Ryan is gay.
Matt and Ryan are unbelievably unprofessional and fame-obsessed and their superficial self-awareness hides it well. I've never seen shady letsplay channels drop employees as quickly as these two did.
It's a shame what happened with Don. I missed his art and wondered why it disappeared so suddenly. But Matt and Ryan's reaction was not surprising, to say the least.

I always notice a pattern with many "accusation cycles". When one person makes a video/tweet, everyone comes out of the woodwork. Most of them bring new (often serious) accusations to the table, but all of them talk in this secretive way. If everything is so hush, why are they eager to make accusations without backing any of it up? The videos and streams are always 99% bushbeating filler. SPIT IT OUT. Many accusers often use a lot of blurry social-justice-y terminology and go on about how hurt they are, instead of just... explaining what happened. Or clearing up misconceptions. Or giving necessary details.

Bonus points if they continue to vaguetweet/make videos about the “drama” without adding anything new. Some do this for years. If you’re going to make private matters public and make serious accusations, but then you use your spotlight to lead people on, it becomes very clear what you’re really doing. This wouldn't go on for so long if people didn't drag it out and just cut the bullshit.

They’re playing off the reactionary nature of social media and their audience to punish an employer after a less-than-stellar job experience. Not saying anybody ever deserves mistreatment, but people who do this appear to be taking advantage of the internet's obsession with justice.


And they're fucking adults. Most of these internet types with reach have a serious issue with not being able to handle their problems without broadcasting them for attention.

I hope this becomes a lesson for them both to never put business before friends man. Then again, it's still pretty weird that Lex celebrated the downfall immediately after.

It's less weird and more extremely self incriminating regarding motive. It's very telling to me when you stream yourself watching a sub count drop and laugh about it like a vindictive cock.
This was never about injustice. It's about childish vendettas and mobilizing hate mobs for your own benefit.

It's happened before and it will happen again in the most shady ways for milking clout as @SugarSkullWishes1989 pointed out. It's actually very disappointing that no one learns from this. And it just muddies the water of actual, true accusations.

And I cannot believe I say this in regard to goddamn SuperMega.

Honestly I don't like how the unhinged internet has become the judge, jury and executioner.

Nah, but see. In a sense this will all fall on them completely. You know why? Because they're gonna get the parasocial fans to latch onto them and will have to deal with them and their lynch mobbing ways. When they fuck up, it's completely over for them.
 
So while SuperMega is undecided one whether or not they should return, guess what's not going away? Their Patreon. They're milking their fans of whatever potential money they can get while producing absolutely nothing.

And with that, suddenly any sympathy I once had for them has completely disappeared.

They dumped a fuck ton of content behind their patreon paywall, and it looks like both of their podcasts are shutting down judging from the descriptions. Matt and Ryan are effectively grifting the death of their own brand and trying to cash out with something from this sinking ship.
 
Their Patreon stuff got leaked to kemonoparty, but the videos are broken. The photos of the office ... Are polaroid photos that are potato'd to shit.
