Correct me if I am wrong but I believe it has been established that his girlfriend was 23 by the time Dan was in his late 30s.

So I guess Dan just has a thing for younger women. I assume it falls more in line with his personality.
Accordingly, a lot of people tend to forget he's past 40.

Really kind of sums up Arin's voice acting for me. Everything he does, there's always someone that can do it better. He's the God of War (2018 ) of voice actors.

Dan is a full 20 years older than Ashley, so that and the power imbalance there has something to do with it

It's especially frustrating because it's just him speaking with a bit more emphasis and less whine. I do not understand how he gets these gigs with his "talent".

Its like Chris Pratt voicing Mario, its not really about the character or the voice actor, its about putting a fancy name in the credits that'll ensure the specific fanbase that follows the actor will buy the product mindlessly, even if the actor is the worse possible fit or even straight up bad at his job.

It was a combination of several things, but the most severe is him bragging about being Byleth's voice actor and I THINK he also hinted at Byleth being in smash by saying "I'm also in a smash game" years before the actual announcement

Well that’s disappointing on his part, but also reassuring on Nintendo’s. I always viewed that as being one of the most despicable things Nintendo has ever done, considering they simultaneously bent the knee to ResetEra, retroactively removed content from a game without the option of re-enabling it, and turned a 180 on putting the creator of one of the biggest Smash parodies of the mid-2000s in an actual Smash game (which in turn would have redeemed Byleth’s otherwise terrible inclusion). But if what you said is true, then yeah, that unfortunately justifies him being fired.
