alcoholics do a lot of goofy shit, but spending >$100 in a bar to not drink isn't among them. If you look a little closer at his IG post you'll see he's "celebrating being stuck indoors again" 5 days after California closed every bar in the state, and he thanks someone for helping with the backdrop & light ring. my read is that he bought the mug to go, poured himself a drink at home, and tagged himself at Strongwater anyway cause... why not?

Well, can you come up with a better lie for getting caught red handed? If he was a daddy's boy he wouldn't need to be using the company card for YEARS. It just seems like a case of he got away with it the first time and just kept going not thinking about how much is adding up.

One theory about that I read is that he was confronted with a suspicious transaction and thought he was only confronted for one transaction rather than 60 grand
 
Maybe this is a bad take but I don't feel bad for anybody who supported them on Patreon. Like there are people who donate to their Patreon who feel like they personally were robbed by Jackson. But Matt and Ryan are also probably buying stupid shit with the Patreon money. Like if the Patreon money is going towards anything other than video equipment or whatever to improve the channel, why the fuck does it even matter who's spending it? You'd be better off throwing your money in a shredder than donating to a YouTuber's Patreon.
 
I wouldn't put it past the SuperMega crew to be slapping cash around and only threw Jackson under the bus to save face. Jackson had to be knowing what he was doing, as well as Matt and Ryan themselves.

As much as I dislike the phrase "lily white", you're right, and it's a very prevalent attitude among young white people to hate the cops (who they've barely interacted with) on behalf of others. It could just be virtue-signalling for their even more left-wing fans of course but I wouldn't doubt they genuinely feel that way.

There's only one pateron i donate too, it has not set amount besides the minimum 1.50 usd donation and its for a podcast so listeners can pay to get it add free and view it as a video too. It's shit but with the podcast, videos, streams and merch, supermega don't need a patreon account. Simple as that.
It's not a bad take. It's just the truth, there's no way that supermega are using all that pateron money each month for the channel, I mean there's only so much camera equipment you could buy, props etc. It's probably why jackson got away with it, they probably only got someone recently to check shit and noticed.

I totally can see that happening. The NASCAR stuff seemed like it was a Jackson idea because he talked about getting into NASCAR. They seem to throw all sorts of money at shit just because they're financially stupid. That happens when you're young and get a bunch of money and fame suddenly I guess.

I never heard of the Ryan fucking female fans, so unless you can get some compelling evidence other than hearsay, I'm calling bullshit.

The story is that they were watching the protest from a distance and recording something and they got lumped in with the protestors. Matt mentions it in a in Oneyplays episode. Whether that's actually the case is up for interpretation.

it's always unfortunate when your favorite band breaks up. However, spending 10,000 dollars on your own personal shit on a company card is just something you don't do. I get having nice dinners, I get needing to relocate hotels. hell, I get having to spend money on that card in the first place but if everything said here is true it's just not cool. that's why I stick to Oney Plays no drama from those bois.

I still make it a point that its partially Super Mega's fault, because apparently no one was looking at the company card's expenses and shutting this whole shit show down before it went out of hand.

Obviously Jackson is still at fault and needs to repay the company for stealing from them. But the fact that he was able to do it so successfully for so long demonstrated just pure incompetence from Super Mega as a company.

at the end of the day it's just sort of unfortunate, it just surprised me that's all. Besides the Grumps sperging out SuperMega has never really had any drama, they all seem well put together if not a bit goofy.
