IIRC they were working on some other gay game. But maybe that got canned? I can't remember.
They had some games being made called Starbros Coffee or something,
Found it, we know nothing else.
Looking at the one, singular tweet that shows up when you search it on twitter, we know absolutely nothing about it other than that it exists. It's likely been cancelled as it was announced in 2019 and we've seen nothing of it since and it hasn't been mentioned on the show at all as far as I remember (I haven't watched since early 2020 but I doubt they've mentioned it)

Unless if course you're referring to their game Homebody, which was announced back in May on G4 (lol).

You know, for an "entertainment company" that produced "2017's second best selling indie game" (Dream Daddy, apparently) people sure don't care any time a new game by this company is announced.

It's kind of hilarious how much this tweet gets proven more and more wrong year after year.

Don't forget about the fan meetup they had where only one person showed up.

At least Arin is following the #1 rule in business, act like you're a huge success even if you're not. From someone named Egoraptor that should come naturally.

Just a side note on that comedy album thing, Dick Masterson mentioned several times on his podcast that since almost no music albums come out classified as comedy, that the pool is shallow enough that when he published his Maddox Christmas album, he got top charting despite low downloads/views when compared to literally any other category.

Except, that could actually get you in legal trouble:
In July of 1996, A.T. Cross, a fountain pen manufacturer, established a new division called the Pen Computing Group, or PCG, in an effort to "bridge the worlds of traditional and electronic paper, expand the company's traditional product base and return Cross to acceptable margins." And the only notable result of this forward-thinking effort was the CrossPad, which came about due to collaboration with IBM based on a new handwriting recognition technology that they had been developing for a few years. However, this thing fizzled out fast on the market resulting in a shareholder securities fraud lawsuit, Aldridge v. A.T. Cross Corp. Charging that officers of Cross used accounting and sales tricks to mask losses and true sales trends of their PCG products like the CrossPad.

Cross was really confident in this thing publicly and they had stated expectations of at least $25 million in profitable sales in 1998. But to quote the lawsuit, "reality did not keep pace with these projections." By late 1999, the CrossPad development had reportedly ceased and that year the company lost $24.3 million and Aldridge alleged in his suit that statements made by the company management were misleading as well as not following proper revenue recognition practices, specifically claiming that the company employed sales strategies like price protection, take backs, and channels stuffing without properly disclosing any of it to the public or to shareholders.
Why do I mention this seeminly unrelated story? Because I refuse to believe that Arin Hanson of all people is so adept at crossing every T and dotting every I that his company has managed to avoid this exact fate. Make no mistake, they are a real company. Here's the PPP loan to prove it:

I'd love to see somebody question him on why his company got a loan, yet so many poor black owned businesses don't.

I guess Arin is banking on the next couple of games (?) being mega hits. I can't imagine taking out a quarter of a million just for a dying YT channel.

20 recorded employees as of 2020. Is there another youtube channel with that many people? It just seems excessive, especially since they're past the growing phase. Maybe it includes the touring business, too.
I think they downgraded because they used to have 50 or more employees.

I'm pretty sure more youtube channels than you think have that many people working on them (not that it makes it any less retarded, but it honestly seems like a relatively common practice, especially with youtubers that want to be a "brand" that "grows")

This is from their most recent "The Grumps" channel video where they're raking in views that rival their main channel doing mind-numbing BuzzFeed tier content. Correct me if I'm wrong, but do you need this big of a ̶p̶r̶o̶d̶u̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ ̶t̶e̶a̶m̶ posse to churn this shit out?

Good fucking lord, I forgot that channel exists, let alone know that it's somehow doing way better than Game Grumps. How shit like this and Good Mythical Morning gets any views at all will remain a mystery. Considering how irregularly they make videos for The Grumps' compared to Game Grumps, I get the feeling Arin isn't a big fan of it, although that might just be me hoping Arin's being forced to make shit he hates.

You got that Crosspad story from watching the new LGR video didn't you?

This is so fucking delusional it hurts. Cuphead came out in 2017. Hollow Knight cane out in 2017. Darkest Dungeon and Stardew valley came out in 2017. At least I think they did. How Arin thinks his game is even second best on this list is beyond my understanding

It's even more damning that to this day, you can still find people talk about those games still, and nobody talks about or cares about Dream Daddy in the slightest.

Divinity OS 2, Cuphead, Dead Cells, Night in the Woods (which almost certainly shares an audience with Dream Daddy), Stories Untold, Golf Story, What Remains of Edith Finch, West of Loathing, Pyre, Hollow Knight, Faith, Little Nightmares, Opus Magnum, and even Getting Over It are more lasting games.

He's out of his fucking mind if he thinks he's anywhere near the top of any lists. I don't even think Dream Daddy would make Top 5 in "Gayest games released in 2017".
