SuperMega are oncd again in hot water.
This time, former employee, Leighton, has come forward about how uncomfortable he felt about working with Matt and Ryan and finally became vocal because of the liss Matt and Ryan did in Creator Clash.

Not surprising, those two (specifically Matt) did gay shit to get attention and were absolutely exploiting fags/queerbaiting. I can't find the right words I usually say when the topic of Matt comes up, but yeah.

Eh, just sounds like your bog standard histrionic fag to me. Interesting that he waited until he was fired to talk about his harrowing experiences.

Probably one of those situations where you're too passionate about a subject that you cant stay quiet for much longer after witnessing someone ridicule it.

This should honestly be a wake up call for these retards at SupeMega to probably develop social skills because the last thing you should be doing is making gay jokes in front of a gay person in this day and age

I see you edited your post. All of Leighton's claims are uncorroborated. I'm would take them with a pinch of salt, personally. Especially since it's only a problem now, when he has nothing to lose.

Considering the audience Arin panders to, you'd think they'd drop the Twitter Blue membership on the Game Grumps account, or else blocked and accused of being nazis or something.

I was gonna make a post about this for Arin's account but while I was at work he went and cancelled his membership there. Pussy:coom:

Then Arin would not be able to virtue signal about the problem that exists only in his head that he pretends to solve by doing nothing. If anything, his fans of today are just people that exist by solely doing nothing while pretending as if they’re solving something, so I’m not surprised by this.

Gay shit is hilarious. It's like the slime on nickelodeon, it's gross and uncomfortable and that's funny. The fact that fags only feel comfortable with gross shit is a character flaw and why people rightfully hate fags. Keep making fun of it.

I don't know how Arin still manages to land voice roles. It's been about 7 years since he's been relevant if we're being generous, but realistically it's more than a decade at this point since he's been a big name YTber/animator. He's burnt every bridge he's had so who's giving him entry into the industry?

I'm no expert but there's a lot of VA projects around so it's pretty easy to get some work once you're "in". Arin has a lot better credentials than 95% of people in the "field" and a project like this is something that heavier hitting VAs would likely skip over unless they needed a paycheck.

There are a lot of credits available for "Additional Voices", "Background Character", "Secondary Character in non mainline game", and so on. There are like 20 or so heavy hitters, a bunch of b-listers who are trying to maintain "real" acting careers and using VA as filler between jobs, Arin, and then a whole horde of amatuers without credentials.

So... an Advance Wars fandub?
What I want to know is why they gave him Max (the blue-haired larger guy in the back). Arin could probably do a good Grit or Adder, but... big burly strongman?
I don't know much about Advance Wars but I'd imagine having a goofy voice for a larger person means they're going for a Troy McClure/Zapp Brannigan type of casting. Were Max will be a bit himbo-ish and zany.

Max is a straightforward character. He's there to break shit and be upfront about it. Granted, pre-DoR games really lack that deep of characterization, but I'd say that Max is only impatient at worse. Pretty much everything about him you can figure out from his design.

They do have a couple "idiot musclehead" characters in the series that play that role more straightforward, and even then Arin would probably be a crap fit.

Arin worked with WayForward before in River City Girls where he played a very similar, buff guy character. So it's not surprising he got in here, which blows because Arin has about five voices he does and they all stink. The guy will always get into projects like this though, WayForward is a company that likes casting people of internet fame, ProZD is in the same game as Eagle and Flak.

Yeah but this is just... bad. It doesn't sound like a naturally gruff dude. It sounds like a guy trying to put on a deep voice.
I don't even think it's even a bad voice. Just not rugged enough. Funny you mention Eagle, since Erin's Max is a lot closer to how I imagined him to sound.
P.S. Andy should have been voiced by the guy that did Pit in Kid Icarus: Uprising. Veronica Taylor isn't bad, I think she would have been great for Sami if they just let do something else besides not-Ash-Ketchum. I await your rainbow-puzzle ratings.

Oh trust me, I never said it was good, Hanson is such a wanna be voice actor it's gotten sad. Max certainly needed someone with more oomph. Other voices are pretty disappointing too. Kanbei, Olaf, Adder, Hachi and most disappointing of all, Sturm. But then again, voice acting in WayForward games are usually pretty bad. It's what happens when you go for mostly amatuers who are big on the internet.

Arin must have some good relations with Wayforward, at least. That must be the only explanation
For real, though, as much of a douche as RicePirate seemed to wind up being, he'd still have been a far better actor for that guy in Advance Wars. He just has a naturally tough sounding voice on top of being a talented voice actor, as opposed to Arin just trying put a "tough guy" voice on
