the internet and "content creation" has been a very telling thought experiment and way to observe ppl

because it democratized 'content', everyone was able to have a voice, upload whatever they want....andinstead of spawning actual art and substance, what ended up happening, especially on youtube, is that it ended up giving a platform and lottery ticket to people who largely dont have talent

take a look at the rolling stones. good band, bad band, whatever. dudes have made some legendary music and have kept fucking going. theyre 80 and still playing shows (quality of shows not withstanding....it still takes SOMETHING to be able to do that). they got to their level because they had talent, of some kind at least. even if you dont like them, you have to admit they objectively had an X factor that has sustained them all this time

compare to people in the youube space, like egoraptor. egoraptor was never meant to be famous. he had a hobby, and was good at it, but was it really sustainable? like you said, he's mid 30s now...what else does he have? he has hitched his wagon to producing content that doesnt take effort. he talks over video games, and its not even funny anymore.

its the classic story of when a redneck or some shaquesha wins the lottery and they end up in the poor house. youtube has created many such cases of all these kids, basically, who got lucky and were able to generate a living on youtube

I don't understand why y'all are talking about Suzy leaving Arin. She has no reason to, by staying attached to him she has easy access to his audience of retards that she can upsell literal garbage to for free money. If she leaves him, that disappears and she might have to work hard to get money.
