🌟 Internet Famous Arin Hanson / Egoraptor / Grump - "Hey I'm Grump!" of Game Grumps fame, hypocritical SJW doxer, shat himself recording a let's play

I always felt Arin used his current circumstance as a means to network with people higher up on the food chain to always be part of the next "big thing". He's a LA ladder climber through and through. Makes sense why it seems like he never actually tried that hard at anything, or had zero integrity about most of his work. He's just biding his time until the next opportunity shows up. He was even like that in the Newgrounds days, he just cozies up to whomever will keep him relevant long enough to drop whatever he's doing and take the next step up.

I still feel he could pull the plug, hire someone to replace him, keep hustling the money and return to being an 'actual' industry artist. You know, something like the oneyplays gang. Do meme shit for the income, do actual worthwhile creative projects on the side. Who am I kidding, he's way too fuckin deep in this shit. It's like telling Marianne to find a new office job after 19 years at the same place.

It's amazing, you search "egoraptor" on this site and his own fucking thread is on page 2 of the search results because he only matters in the context of trying(and failing) to salvage Anisa's Husband's boxing event. I'm glad it's failing and this high school dropout and his mother dont get any free horse dollars. Enjoy the unpaid actual labor of refunding everybody, Florida event penalties, and being tied to yet another failure of a project & the losers who sank it.

Checked out a random video from a few weeks ago and why is Arin's dad doing the ad reads?

I know it's childish, but seeing Gen X/Millennial YTers with gray hair just fucks me up.

No pink stripe to signify his marriage to Suzy anymore? Is this environmental storytelling?
I think there was a brief mention that he thought 'it looked stupid' so he stopped wearing it. Now he just has greys through his hair and pube beard while only being in his mid to late 30s.

Rewatching Game Grumps Sonic '06, it's still hilarious. Almost 13 years ago.
I don't know if this is still the case but a few years ago a bunch of the Jon era gamegrumps was privated or delisted. I did a huge rip of everything and I'm fairly sure I have the entire Jon era on a hard drive. Not related at all but I used to binge watch them in college and the Jon era is preservation worthy.

Sonic '06 is still on GameGrumps at least, haven't checked the rest. You should upload that hard drive somewhere if they do disappear, it is definitely preservation worthy.

I miss it. The best Lets Plays are the ones that don't sound like Let's Plays, they sound like friends goofing around. All Jon era grumps videos were like that.

I don't know where I would upload them to but I wouldn't be opposed to it.

I honestly think I would need to comb through all of the episodes to make sure I'm not missing anything. A properties view of my folder has 759 Files, 140 Folders. The current "entire" jontron era playlist on youtube has 650ish videos but it also won't display any hidden videos

Episode #36 (JON NO) is currently missing from the playlist.

MILLIONS ARE DEAD

IIRC when this was happening, someone in the thread ripped and uploaded all the Jon era stuff and put it up as a torrent and a Mega.nz file Mobile fagging rn so I can't link, but it should all be here.

I've reached the point where there's a small reaction of shock any time I hear 2006-2012 YT videos saying things like "I wanna kill myself" or "This is retarded". Feels bad man. It was normal, I was there. There's a noticeable feeling of carelessness and levity to videos of that time that's saddening to look back on now. You can tell they had no worries and no super srs strong opinions about current events bubbling underneath. Was it because mainstream media caught up with the Internet and learned how to efficiently make us all scared and angry again?

Eight minutes in to part 22 of Sonic 06, Jon makes a point about changing sensibilities and how strange it was for him to look back at a 90s show and see "traditional gender roles" and nuclear family type settings embraced like that, given where culture was headed in 2013. Its a surreal glimpse at that transitional period where the common opinion was "women don't have to wear skirts and gender roles are kinda dumb", before it all snowballed to shit. They even talked briefly beforehand about why only the pink power ranger wears a skirt (the yellow ranger was a boy in Japan and the action scenes were filmed in Japan). Neither of them sheepishly went quiet, or felt the need to insert a disclaimer about gender bullshit, or pay lip service to the tranny audience that barely existed yet, or call the Nips backwards or some some sort of -phobic. I know it's a small thing but it's just surreal to me.

Jon being the one to express some apprehension toward gender roles and Arin having an "eh whatever" reaction to it is jarring, knowing them now.

It was probably because they were like 24 years old and didn't have shit to worry about.

Also the (((financial elite))) used their control over traditional and social media to push narratives that emphasize identity politics in order to divide the working class against itself in direct response to Occupy Wall Street circa late 2011/early 2012 onward. But also the first thing.
