Acknowledging that Jon exists supports white supremacy or some shit, so that can't happen.
Thing is, they've mentioned Jon multiple times over the past few years. I don't know why it would be a big deal now.

Apparently their manager Brent has forbade them from mentioning Jon since his "racist rant" because he's a fucking moron and a walking PR disaster.

He's ruining their business just as much as Arin is, I think.

After Jon left initially, He was Persona non grata on the channel right up until Arin appeared in the finale of starcade (Arin even has a mini breakdown during one of their recording sessions and they edited out the miiverse pic mentioning Jon). After that they loosened up and started actively talking about him again right up until the Destiny incident and they haven't or barely mentioned him since.

Pretty much my exact feeling about game grumps for years. Even though I was never a fan and didn't know all the lore this was genuinely my exact understanding of who arin was since shortly after the Jon split. My ex used to watch game grumps and I could only barely tolerate it even in like 2013 or whatever because of these exact things

Arin is that kind of stubborn dick that the worse his projects will go, the lesser chance of mentioning/giving cred to Jontron it is. He will probably follow the sinking ship to the bottom.

Just saw GameGrumps start a livestream. Look at those superchats. No wonder they started doing these once a week. They’re making money hand over fist with all these donations without doing anything different than their usual content

I smell a big nose and some supershekels around the corner.

Danny may not fit the part, but I know one of 'em hymies was behind this exploit.

Most "youtubers" that were let's players have already made the jump for that exact reason - it's better and easier monetization for roughly the same effort.

To break it down, a youtube video (generally, roughly) generates ~$.65 per advertisement per 1000 people who view it (or people who view it via Youtube Red). This is operating largely off the assumption that only 15% of people will even watch the ad (and don't use that pesky adblock). If we assume a GameGrumps video gets 300,000 views we can math that out to $975 - which isn't a bad chunk of change for 10 minutes of dick jokes and video games, but if we apply that same logic to a stream the numbers jump up dramatically.

For youtube, it takes roughly ~7600 people to generate $5 dollars. For streaming, it takes 1 person, potentially to throw a fiver out - meaning that for cash money purposes having 40 concurrent twitch viewers is roughly equivalent to the 300,000 youtube viewers. Obviously not every single person who watches a stream donates, but it only takes a small percentage to beat out Youtube and do so handily - even if we assume that 10% does, that would mean that the GG stream would need to have 4,000 people watch it at any point - which should be very easy considering how large the audience is for them. If they number goes up (and more people donate) the more money they get. Considering they likely got much more than 40 people donating, it's likely they made much more than they would on youtube.

Additionally, they get to "double dip" and upload the stream onto youtube and get revenue from it twice. Please also make a special note that streaming beats out youtube revenue just from donations alone, but twitch/youtube also has a subscripton feature that pushes it even further towards streaming's favor. The payout is also instantaneous, as opposed to waiting 15-60 days to get paid from adsense.

Didn't they already do this game on Steam Train? So they're repeating games now?

I know I'm not the first person to say or think this but fuck me man, can you imagine being Arin and knowing where JonTron stands right now as a content creator?

The dude bails on the internet for large chunks of time and comes back to millions of views on his latest videos without a thought meanwhile Arin's entire "media empire" struggles to meet even a quarter of that daily all the while constantly losing traction with his audience.

It has to be maddening to stake your entire life on a "brand" only for some shmuck who used to work with you and rarely made content even at your peak stomp the shit out of you. Like no wonder this guy has stagnated when someone you know he deems lesser than him is constantly casting a shadow. Sure, what Arin does is currently stable for him, but I couldn't live in his shoes and not think for a second about how much of a failure I'd become were I in the same situation.

It's fucking crazy.

Really oneys videos are pretty funny but the commentators and general fanbase are god fucking awful. You can go on any video and see those dipshits still making rhyming hypotheticals. On the other hand though his more recent videos with lyle or whoever the fuck it is has your generic youtuber screaming in it which is pretty suckish.

Oh also it's pretty fucking funny to hear him and his guests mock both the gamechumps and other lets players. Whats even more funny is how much supermega has been "jokingly" shitting on GG and Arin in their more recent videos.

Could you imagine being a fucking youtube letsplayer and having a manager
