I've been so out of the loop regarding the Grumps. Its so weird to think about how he is old enough to be the father of just about anyone watching

Not going to lie; he has some natural charm to him (being outwardly jovial is kind of hard to dislike; and Dan usually comes off as being genuine in that regards).

As long as it's two consenting adults, who cares? But it's also probably where half his relationship issues come from (exactly what does a 40 year old have in common with a 25 year old other than what goes on between the sheets?)

The thing that really bothers me, though,is how the fans treat her (demanding she be part of NSP lore, giviing her the nickname of Lady Sweetnuts, countless fanarts of her as a pixie queen or some such and fans dubbing themselves as 'Ashley's Angels' with the intent of defending her against any 'haters'.

No wonder Dan kept his relationships on the down low if this is how the fanbase treats his lovers (which begs to question - why he changed his mind about privacy when it came to this new lover).

Anyone remember when he thought that eating spoons of honey everyday wasn't against his no sugar diet because honey "wasn't sugar, it's pollen"...
And then he wonders why he isn't losing weight.
(this was in the kirby dream course lp, which was one of the few new series that was still good.)

The literary nerd in me wants to say “Phantom” or “pulling a phantom” because the phantom was middle aged, spent his adult life building a secret lair in an opera house, and then groomed a young girl for years, only to make her so perfect she got engaged to someone better and left his ugly ass in the sewer
