Having watched it myself just now I'm even more confused about how Arin managed to get offended at it since there is a whole section at the end where he's really chill and talking about StoryTime animators he likes/interacted with during the making of the video.

Just heard TWRP out of curiosity. Holy shit they are bad. Not in a technical level, they play well, it's just that there's no fucking originality, every song is a copy of some other song. They even do the fucking radio skit. That shit's been done to death. Even the band they copy the most from, Daft Punk, did the fucking radio skit.

I'm glad I was wrong. I read that Arin was having some kind of sperg out lately and seeing all the old NG people come out and shit on him is just wonderful. I can only imagine how long some of them have just sorta sat back and watched as a former friend made stupid choice after stupid choice all in the name of pleasing teenagers.

How sad does your life have to be, that you feel that emotionally invested in someone that you watch play video games. I wholeheartedly believe that the people that care so much about Game Grumps literally have no friends so their brain tricks them into thinking that Arin and Dan are their friends despite that they probably don't even know they exist.
These are the same people that write an essay on why they finally have to unsubscribe (r/rantgrumps being its own entire brand of autism which really needs it's own thread) and then have to still watch everything so they can cattily talk behind their back like a 40 year old suburban mom with nothing better to do. Arin probably capitalizes off these people to be a virtual friend channel rather than a let's play channel.

I hate this, cause Danny once said in an episode that he would never date anyone younger than the "half your own age + 7 years" rule. Don't think 40 devided by 2 plus 7 is 24, man.

I know that Pelo mentioned that he and Arin had a chat and everything is cool between them now; but how suprising would it be if Arin/his stans see this as a personal attack against him, and the drama starts anew (even though Pelo clearly stated that this video was made to poke fun at the recent drama)?
Because that isn't unsettling (for various reasons). These are the kinds of fans that Arin/The Grumps need to address (i.e. - make it clear that this kind of adoration isn't healthy and they need to chill tf out).

It's not even the age difference that bothers me (because what happens between two consenting adults is their own business); it''s moreso the fact that she started off as an NSP/Game Grumps fan who got in touch with Dan in the hopes of making animation for either channel. They ended up ditching the idea and hooked up, instead.

So I have a question. Does Arin's current fanbase even know what he was initially famous for? Seems like people who knew him for his NG work are mostly gone, so from the perspective of his younger audience is Arin just Grump and that's what he's always been?

I can understand respecting someone who makes stuff you enjoy a lot. I respect the hell out of a lot of game developers out there for making some really fantastic stuff, and if I were in the position to save their life at the cost of my own; I honestly would. But you CAN'T be doing shit like that spider trans person. You're only going to slowly kill yourself acting like these people are super personal friends that you've talked to. You may know a lot about them due to the nature of the internet, but that isn't a two way street unless you're on the same level or near the same level of notoriety as them. I'm sure a lot of these people appreciate so many people care about them to such a high degree, but there reaches a point where it simply isn't healthy. What sane people that remained of the gamegrumps community has dithered and dithered away, leaving only people like that spider trans person and slightly worse around. The terrible Majora's Mask and Ocarina Of Time let's plays were the final nail in the coffin for this, honestly. Arin reaped what he sowed, and ultimately, if any of these crazy people kill themselves over him? Well, he doesn't have the get out of jail free card that is him having TRIED to get them to stop having such an unhealthy obsession. Because he hasn't tried that, and ultimately; I don't think he ever will. Thanks for listening to my TED talk.
