taken from the perspective that this tweet isn't a joke, crass/offensive or not, i can understand that. he also doesn't get too deep into politics on his channel usually.

i do agree with Oney though. trans people definitely still face difficulties in the west but it's not nearly as bad as some other places. plus, as bad as the suicide, homicide and rape(?) stats are, quoting them without looking at the nuances doesn't help anyone (like how many trans people are prostitutes and/or homeless, which puts them in more danger).
 
Oney should've played gay dad simulator when dd&j were still with him. I don't think he'd do it because of the drama it would undoubtedly cause but boy howdy would it be a spectacle

I have had 0 interest in it because I don't fuck dads but is it really THAT bad and uninteresting? Not that I'm surprised, just... Wow.

I remember and ep from the Ding Dong/Julian days were Oney ragged on Julian for being gay the entire episode then turned around at the end and apologised saying "I'm sorry Julian, you're not really gay."

It's fascinating to know that the Sonic 06 playthrough is actually a decently useful series of videos for understanding how two people could potentially react to poorly implemented mechanics and story beats in video games almost entirely due to the fact that both Jon and Arin were playing 06 for the first time in their entire lives and both had completely different tolerances for completely different flaws the entire playthrough. I think that's why it's so memorable even outside of Grump fans; it's just so natural.

Meanwhile, Arin tries to recreate this series that was almost literally lightning in a bottle with every new big series and fails spectacularly. I currently don't know which playthrough of his is more unbearable at this point; both the Sonic and LoZ series one's are some of the worst shlock I've ever seen and those playthroughs serve as the reverse of the above, where it's so easy to call out and spot when someone is disingenuously or poorly criticizing the game based on exaggerated and sometimes outright bad gameplay on the person's behalf.

I mean I say all that, but the tl;dr is Jon Saga was best saga for the umpteenth time.
