I'm more curious how darker skin would have clashed with the outfit's color scheme. If anything, it would compliment it (warm vs cool - assuming he's referring to the girl in blue).

The Lovelies would praise Arin's decisions because he's an artist; so would know what works best when it comes to color schemes. (insert heavy eye roll here).
I personally love these responses - because it's essentially what I'm thinking is the real reason behind the 'I can't make her black' excuse.

The main difference is that Noah received the money to make the movie and he didn't have any fucking idea what to do except whine on Twitter about Trump and his mental state. Arin has an actual idea to start from, but always decided to go the easier route for financial gain.
Also Noah's fans have already lost faith in him because of his fuck ups. Arin could release a GoFundMe for his shit, only release scribbled storyboards 5 years after he reaches the goal, and his fanbase would still eat that shit up.
I think the real reason for this change is that he can't draw a black person without yelling "NIGGER!!!" for five minutes straight afterwards.
Joking aside, too bad this comment is already a couple years old and it will absolutely not result in Arin's woke stans turning against him. They'll just go "Oh, but he was just an angry, 28 year old child back then, look how much he's grown!"

First off, more supposed Live Show stories, involving the cult of Lovelies going after someone and booing them for a whole minute after they asked if Dan was working on more "solo stuff". All because she said solo stuff, because I mean, really: how dare she imply Dan would be separate from Arin at anything?

Obviously, take the story with a grain of salt, but I'm more inclined to believe them given they were able to give a time, date, and location (and someone might've been recording at one of those live shows, so there may be video evidence of this lurking around somewhere if people more active than me want to search for it).
Next up, hey: remember when they read Sonic fanfic for about 58 minutes of a fairly short playthrough? Well people wanted more right? That's not what people said in the TIHYDPs, so obviously that means they gotta do more, right? Edgeworth and Wright lemon fics are exactly what people want out of the Ace Attorney series. Obviously. Problem is they don't have any, so the Lovelies gotta doxfind someone to discuss their work on the show.

Lastly, and this is admittedly kind of a small thing that's pretty funny when it's piled up on top of everything else, their guest editor (not including the other other guest editors who left for some undisclosed reason), Rebug, finally finished editing their compilation video a week back.

More to the point, the Lovelies are...somehow justifying it in their heads that this means Pheonix Wright is definitively coming back, because:

So, like, I know we joked about them treating them shitting and talking about literal shit would cause the Lovelies to still call it gold, and praise it as high humor, but I'm starting to think, especially with Baron Von Bunghole's comments across their videos, that that joke is slowly becoming reality, and I'm just sitting here shocked that we just- we live in clown world now.
EDIT: Right, one other thing I forgot to mention: I don’t know why they’re asking for this now of all times. Arin and Dan are both busy until November, so everything up to this point is prerecording, meaning at the latest, Ace Attorney wont return until at least late November or early December. At the earliest.
Why are they randomly getting their fans’ hopes up like this? Don't they know these acts of malcontent will incur bloodshed upon thine crazies, because the Lovelies apparently they just play by medieval times rules?

But they released a Phoenix episode just the other day (you know, after a two month hiatus, mind you), and - looking back on the views for those last few episodes, they barely made the quota Dan stated was needed to keep long running series on Youtube/off of livestreams (roughly 250-300k views; at least five of those didn't reach the lowest tier). Their most recent upload (from yesterday) is currently standing at 122k.
I can only assume they believe that by dropping a game for months at a time, only to pick it back up again when fans gave up on further uploads is going to - somehow - give them an influx of views. Which is a very risky/dimwitted idea, if that's what they're aiming for.
