The Grumps house of hilarity just keeps on rolling. This situation has me intrigued so I gave the known information a ponder. As the information we have is wildly speculative and circumstantial (mostly anecdotal from "victims") I have drawn the following conclusions:

• Dan is a pervert and an eternal adolescent creep who likes power games and would literally be homeless or in his mother's basement if it wasn't for Game Grumps, as Brian is clearly the composer for NSP and likely would have quit years ago for his (at the time) much more lucrative PHD jobs after his daughter was born, since NSP was pretty much just a blip on the internet radar at best before grumps (most of their original exposure was from their first collab with Arin anyway). Note that NSP is the only "haha I do funny ridiculous music shit" internet entity that really remains huge at this point, with most of the shtick losing relevance around 2010-2011. (ref "mr. weebl / Brentalfloss - extra fun fact Dan was not the only struggling YouTuber to try to hop on Arin's fat dick in that time period; get your daily dose of cringe here)

• As wonderful as it is to see the cult-like "lovelies" show themselves to be sycophantic hypocrites decrying a brave wymn's #metoo moment; or otherwise having complete meltdowns as they discover that those who pointedly claim they are morally superior to others often end up being abject liars - As a few have said previously even the most egregious claims just kind of point out Dan is a dick. Do I think Danny would be extremely dangerous if removed from his constant source of attention, power, and fame - absolutely. He gets to play weird power games with people right now at a high level because he's famous. Remove that attribute and you have a narcissistic neanderthal-esque forty-year-old who prefers to have promiscuous sexual intercourse with women half his age while off his psych meds and actively champions not following your mental health professional's advice. Personally I would never let my daughter near that person.

• A big question I have is why was this play put on youtube in the first place? I did some light digging - Kati departed Game grumps approximately 2-3 years ago with a blog post saying that she "lost her tribe" - if you assume her personal account from the play is correct, whatever incident caused her flight led to a complete excommunication. The time since appears to have been spent working and writing - she has a number of credits and awards on IMDB and she mentions in the play moving to NYC (the theatrical piece in question played at an NYC theatre). Again if the account of the play is correct she's been in NYC for most of that time building a life away from the grumps, making new friends who aren't total spergs, getting over being triggered (apparently), getting gyno exams, etc. In the theatre's still-existing ticket link, it states there was a performance back on June 5th - (for those counting that was almost half a year ago). I remember while tooling the internet for information about the Jared drama some hardcore lovelies were even aware of the play happening, but nothing seemed to come of it. This leads to the initial question - if Kati hadn't put the recording of the show on youtube in the first place, it's likely "the internet" would not be talking about it right now. The show itself seems to imply that it's a part of her journey to move past the grumps (generally speaking), so why essentially reach back into that shit pile and fling it into your personal fan if your life is getting along just fine? I can't even find a recorded performance of her award-winning show outside of a single video put up by a local tv station. Unless I missed something about her now-closed social media accounts, which based off everything I can see were pretty quiet until this past week, the play going online seems like an anomaly.

• In the play, Kati has a monologue segment where she details how "unhealthy relationships are like roller coasters" while simultaneously describing her now "healthy" friendships essentially as boring snore-fests (if those people in the play are actually their own real-life counterparts as implied that must be a little awkward for them). I can't help but look at the available data and conclude that Kati is, as accused, drama obsessed, and indeed a cow. Only a cow would take what appears to be a functioning life and disrupt it (and possibly other people's as well, associated with the show) by literally throwing it into a pit of ravenous rabies afflicted wombats by what appears to be a personal choice; under the flimsy guise of #me"alsoing" a man who is clearly skeezy, but whose actions ultimately say more about the pitiable morons who are taken in by his charm than it says about his character itself. Anyone who already was familiar with Dan and had a functioning brain basically knew everything we know now. Is anyone really surprised by these testimonials? Sure we have more evidence, but its the equivalent of getting closer to a shitpile just to confirm it stinks. I get the feeling Kati was in a creative dry spell or found their theatrical momentum waning and saw a chance to embellish their own life (what could be easier to write about) and hit some key crowd-pleasing memes at the same time, namely #metoo and "orange man bad". Even better, it could ignite enough drama to finally pop that button back open on the grump blouse to get at that sweet cult fanbase teat. When the show itself failed to light the powderkeg, she did it herself by going straight to the source.

I will say the Grumps might use this drama for a clickbait title for their show where they sit in lounge chairs and read articles. Even though I think the original point of the show is to be less transparent with fans?
Kind of telling that the Grumps staff with twitters aren’t really addressing it at all. Not even their supposed social media manager. The last thing Arin tweeted was a retweet of something his wife tweeted. You would think Arin would have a meltdown on twitter like how he had a meltdown on stream when someone mocked Ross.

No response was and always has been standard proticol at Game Grump HQ. I can't see them ever talking about it unless some lovely takes things way out of hand, or another party releases substanial evidence of legal wrong-doing (which I don't find likely at this point).

Nothing that people have accused Dan of doing is actually illegal, but I find it particularly gross in his position. When he talks about his depression on the show and continues to appeal himself to the tumblr audience, he puts on this facade of "UwU im so anxious and relatable".

I find the boyband comparison earlier in the thread pretty apt. Lots of young people use let's plays as friend simulators, so they feel like they can trust him. This could happen at an impressionable age, which makes him currently dating a 23 year old fan and DMing 18-19 year olds all the more skeevy.
Maybe the writing on the wall should have been more clear to me, but Dan does a good job at hiding himself behind his favorite cow and co-host.

I joined the farms just to discuss the absolute trainwreck of a lolcow that is Arin "Egoraptor" Hanson. Coming from someone who genuinely looked up to the guy throughout most of his pubescence, his true colors have really shown as of recent years. I'm ashamed for ever having liked the Game Grumps.

The first crack in this whole shit-show was when Suzy resold stuff from AliExpress and marked it up MULTIPLE times of what it was actually worth. Cheap goddamned materials that were supposedly "hand-crafted". Yeah, right. Good job exploiting your young, impressionable fanbase that doesn't know any better.
I wanted to give Arin the benefit of the doubt in this situation, believing that his alien wife was just a shitty person behind the scenes. Considering Jontron's old girlfriend Nicole went on record saying Suzy was the Yoko-Ono of the grumps, I wasn't really surprised that she's insufferable to deal with (just like in every video she's featured in.)

Arin had to come on the internet to defend her, it's not like he could just ignore the controversy and expect it to go away. Since Suzy can never be wrong and own up to ANY of the shitty things she does, Arin blamed it on the internet being full of big fat meanies making fun of his wife. Despite there being countless evidence of her shop being a scam. This should have been a warning sign for future behavior, if the two were just honest about the whole thing I'd have much more respect for them. Even if Arin has always been fucking garbage at video games and following directions, I still found their commentary from 2013-15ish to be entertaining or good background noise while I work. I'd love for litigation to be taken, but Ding Dong has never had any sort of back-bone so I expect nothing to come out of it.

Also, as someone who happens to be a total tr00n, I believe Arin has most of the tell-tale signs of a transgender woman (as many have speculated). It was an unlisted video on her personal channel; no idea how it got found by the original rantgrumps poster, but I'm assuming she intended to personally share it with a small number of people. She bailed very, very quickly once it got found, so I'm certain it wasn't supposed to be publicly available.

First time poster on this thread, but from the perspective of someone who just started watching Oneyplays, the tone of Chris voice sounds super chill and though he sounds like he doesn't care about what's going on, if you pay attention for more then 5 minutes you can clearly tell he gets invested in most games he plays and makes some effort at being funny but not trying so hard that it ends up feeling forced.

Arin, on the other hand, you can tell he's not enjoying himself and as such is really forcing himself to try to be funny to compensate, which ironically makes it look like he's trying too hard. I know this has probably been pointed out a hundred times over by the people in this thread, but with all the other drama popping up, sometimes it's good to take a moment to reflect on the core issues here.

I remember about 7 or 8 years ago my friend mentioned he was disappointed in Egoraptor for dropping Animation in favor of Let's Plays, claiming he "sold out". I, at the time, said he was just playing to Youtubes screwed up new Algorithm and was just using GG as a side gig to fund other projects, and that he'd be back to semi-regular animations in a year or two...I gotta tell him that he was right when he gets back from Florida.
