It's a video talking about the last thing his "Uncle" sent him, and when you take it out of context it just sounds bad business decisions almost akin to Game Grumps as a whole.

Also these fucking sheep in the comments are arguing that "It's a bit" don't realize that a bit is supposed to be funny and short, not drawn out over months and just be shit ARG marketing.

I have not watched gamegrumps in like 4 or 5 years because it got boring and arin is a raging,unfunny manchild, but what is going on with their thumbnails and titles? All the videos have shitty clickbait thumbnails and undescriptive titles,also what is up with having Arin grump face wear glasses? He doesnt wear glasses in real life,is that suppoused to be a joke?

It might have to do with the YT algorithm penalizing them for having similar thumbnails. That said, the new thumbnails are a gigantic over reaction if that's the case. The thumbnails they used for the Pokemon painting game with Barry/Ross was a much better way to handle different thumbnails per episode without creating absolute cancer.

They've also recently gotten a new editor- I was of the mind that he was a little responsible, at least.

I'm still on the fence with this guy. It seems like he's trying pretty hard to be a "memer", but at the same time, it could be what he's told to do. The little infomercials he puts in when they pause to redo something or find where they're at are amusing at least.

Looking back I really don't know how I kept watching them for so long, and looks like I got away just in time since GG has pretty much devolved into clickbait vomit. I guess it helped that most of the games that they played I had never played myself, so I could easily subscribe to the whole "you're watching for the comedy!!" aspect since I couldn't tell how bad Arin was actually playing. But one day after years of watching I just got bored and tired of Arin's constant shit jokes and obnoxious voices and not even Dan could save the show. I couldn't even sit through one 10 min episode, I just found them so boring. I thought it was just me but after reading through this whole thread and visiting the channel again I now wonder how anyone can even tolerate to watch GG with Arin now. He's reached Suzy levels of obnoxious. Even watching back old episodes that I used to like are just kind of frustrating after watching the TIHYDP videos since his ignoring instructions shtick goes as far back as the Jon era (though I will admit Jon did it too).

I’ll maintain that, back in the day, GG was actually pretty fun to watch. Someone else already talked about him getting easy groupie pussy and breaking girls' hearts everywhere, but I was personally talking about the whole "sorry the truth has upset you" fiasco, when a fan called him out on parroting the algorithm bullshit that Arin always whines about and he just responded with that, then made a post the next day telling everyone that "uwu I'm alright thanks for blindly defending me after I got shit on for my garbage response checking on me with your nice messages". It's disappointing but you can't blame a boomer yesman for parroting everything the man he's saying yes to says, the attitude is probably contagious.

I'll agree. I watched them for laughs, and I think they just evolved to a point where the laughs stopped. Arin got too political for me, and a rule of thumb for me is not to watch shows that are supposed to be focused on a non political topic, discussing politics.

I pretty much just eye rolled every time I checked his Twitter or had to make a "wahmen" comment. It's like every time he opened his mouth I cringed. I've been rewatching the Sonic 06 playthrough and noticed that he was so much more tolerable in the Jon era, almost like a completely different person. No poop jokes, no "MAH POOSAY", barely any mention of a fart or a burp or anything disgusting. Him and Jon had really good chemistry, and Arin worked well enough as a straightman but was still energetic (just not as energetic as Jon). I guess when Dan came in he felt like he had to overcompensate because Dan was so laid back?

I think a really good point someone had mentioned in an earlier conversation is that Arin and Jon have their content be scripted, like with Jontron and Arin's cartoons. So seeing the two of them together in Gamegrumps was interesting since it's like two guys just hanging out. There wasn't an audience to fill and you can tell at times they were naturally awkward or let their actual personalities break out. When Arin got pissed at Jon in the Nickelodeon GUTS episode it wasn't like a fake anger we see Arin for now, it was actual legit anger which is what made it way funnier since Jon is just awkwardly trying to get out of the situation but still wanted to win. Shit like that is a big reason people love the Jon and Arin era since it was really unhinged. We bring it up a lot here but many people here flocked to Oneyplays since they act exactly like old Jon and Arin, but manage to have their own things to stand out and be fresh.

Arin boxed himself into a corner by embracing his brand and selling it, so now he pretty much has to play to the algorithm and keep making content, which in turn really hits him fucking hard because it only shows more and more how fucking bad of an entertainer he is, Dan being his bitch as a yesman isn't helping.


On a more positive note since it's Chris:

Chris took a very long break for Oneyplays and is asking for recommendations on games to play. He didn't do some fucking filler shit to fill the time like Arin and the Jimmy Jaboree/Franklin shitshow. Just didn't make any vids, and now he's asking for recommendations. Been looking through the comments and the variety of games is pretty vast, top liked recommendations being games like War of the Monsters for Ps2 and Lego Rock Raiders (I can absolutely see them playing this or Lego Island).

Think really the big draw and reason I bring this up is that they don't have to play into the popular shit like current GG, and can instead really pick anything and turn it into gold. Supermega is exactly the same when they played Runescape a couple years ago, focus on making good content first and the views will roll in on that alone.
