Nothing out of the ordinary really, Chris standing for NG's reputation as always and Ross trying to reconcile both sides. The funny thing here is Arin not realizing the irony of him being dunked on a while ago and making a shitty joke regardless. Again, if this is what Ross is comfortable with while the NG guys are getting actual gigs, he might want to reconsider his decisions before it's too late. And yes, except for one tweet everyone is kissing Arin's ass (unless he filtered other replies and I didn't look further).
Besides, while the CalArts argument has its questionable origins (John K. being salty towardas anything that didn't appeal to his sensibilities), it's still stands in current times since almost every artist that likes to use those visual traits fall into some stereotypical traits too (i.e.: being a furry, a hardcore leftist, exceptionally concerned about its gender identity, etc.). And the "Newgrounds" style example it's fucking stupid since you can take one quick look through the site and very few people draw that way. And even then, the only few people I can think of that draw on a similar style are making something out of their careers (Bowlbo, Smiling Friends).

Painting it with the wide paintbrush of “NG Style” is such an obvious pussyfoot way to call out Zach and Oney without actually tagging them. Obvious jealousy that Zach’s show with this similar style has made it onto Adult Swim whilst his shitty pilot has gone nowhere.

i am so glad i never got into game grumps. they were always off to me and god damn they're gross. i only watched them during the "supermega" era where supermega was their editors cause i love supermega and their unique editing style for videos, but once they left, ive never watched them again. its kind of funny how the good people leave gamegrumps to leave it in shambles.
This is also the cusp of Steven Universe finally ending. It along with Adventure Time, Regular Show, and every other show called "CalArts style" has been wrung out of whatever value they had.
It did. It was a show that was about Steven having a mental breakdown because of things like him not being able to accept people not needing his help, that they can change without him being there to see it, that his mom has even more skeletons in her closet that even Pearl didn’t know about, that he has PTSD from being a child adventurer, and that he can’t handle it properly. I honestly enjoyed it quite a lot.
Sorry for the bit about that, back to Game Grumps.
