The artstyle vaguely reminds me of the old Pink Panther cartoon characters (from the 60s/70s).

It's not inherently ugly; it's just not merch friendly.

Arin Hanson is such an idiot. He goes to monster island and LEAVES IT ON THE FIRST TURN. it is really something to behold. Game grumps is over. I don't know how they can recover from such a brutal mistake, Arin could've made millions of yen, but through his stupidity he failed. I'm never watching game grumps again

I hate everything about this. The composition is weird, Arin missing a mouth and nose, Danny's butt chin and 5 o clock shadow...it's just unpleasant to look at. And why is Arin reaching up but looking down? "Jam packed with references", damn I know I've been out of the GG loop for years but I don't get a single one. It just looks like a dirty shelf with no context.

The reference is all of the games fans gave them that they dont care to play, return, or even acknowledge. Would have been easier to catch of it was a garage sale with people passed out from heat stroke.

The moustache thing seems to be a a preferred art style choice when drawing Arin. Their Ghoul Grump design from last year (different artist) had a similar design.

Edit: Doing a quick look at their merch - most stick with that ugly moustache lip, save for the body pillow design; that one actually drew a proper moustache.

the art style on that puzzle looks like an extremely demented version of foster's home for imaginary friends

maybe they're trying to shill a puzzle out because they know people might be looking for alternative forms of entertainment during quarantine or something. but why not, I dunno, maybe make a board game? didn't they pride themselves with having that board game larp show not too long ago? That'd be more unique and fun imo than just a puzzle. but I guess making something that'd be a board game would be much too hard of work.

What are the odds of Arin going all out and creating the GGNetwork? They create so much shit unrelated to video games at this point that they could just be seen as a storefront. Personally I can't wait to start seeing Grump displays at Hot Topic and Spencer's so Suzie can sell more ugly jewelry and Danny can groom girls with daddy issues at a higher efficiency.
