Will check it out when I have the time. I already saw the Skyward Sword version and wow he was embarrassing in that one so I hope to not be disappointed with this vid.

One already exists and it's fantastic.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=UFWI5Ff5NEII recommend the Zora segment for a real showcase of Arin's inability to learn game mechanics.
I fucking hate that you shared this, and I hate myself for actually watching it. Five bloody hours of "ARIN, SHUT THE FUCK UP AND PAY ATTENTION TO THE GAME". I can't fucking fathom how people tolerate these playthroughs. It's just him bitching about the game not holding his hand while the game tries to hold his hand and tell him where to go.

Something tells me you haven't seen him complain about SS. He literally complains that it's too hand-holding and yet he still fails and complains it's too hard or not clear enough.

I'm not sure I could survive him being a petulant child in another Zelda game.

Haven’t lurked here in awhile, but damn.

That’s how the Arin/Dan show usually is, just Arin screeching while Dan agrees with whatever he spews and just going off about some long-winded unrelated story if it’s not Arin complaining. If not for the pretentious opinions and controversies/rabid fanbase would Arin have anything going for him?

Really, Arin and Dan should not be successful let's players at all. Arin is terrible at playing games, and Dan isn't even a gamer. The only reason Arin got any fame was because of his successful animations. I guess it's sort of like when a famous actor goes into politics. But he has one of those weird, obsessive fanbases, so he can keep going as long as he wants. However, given how these kinds of fanbases are, if he tries dropping the let's playing for something else like a podcast or discussion based show, there will be a huge drop off in numbers.

Comin in hot, we got ourselves a GG merch drop.

Has anyone here ever worn non-basic merchandise from YTers? Like, it's not even an interesting color, you could just buy a normal windbreaker. The design would legit look better on the front of a shirt.

$60 for a windbreaker. Fucking yikes, dude! At least the windbreaker has the right color scheme for this time of year (too bad they're not exactly made for colder weather - making them utterly pointless for anyone living in colder climates). Least they could have done was get a decent artist to make the design for this merch to justify that ridiculous price mark up.

Also - Sam needs to stop wearing small sizes; as he is clearly a large (nobody needs to see his moobs).

Jesus, that design is so unreadable. It looks like cartoon soap suds from afar. Why exactly did they outline white with white and make no use of negative space?
Mildly autistic, but they expect people to buy and wear this. Someone got paid to make this (or maybe not with how their money situation's going).

They actually made a podcast years ago called The G Club. At the time I liked it a lot because it forced The Grumps to focus on talking & discussions without being shit at games getting in the way, they even picked one topic per episode whether it be a movie or video game.
They also made a short series on Grump Out called Before The Grumps or someshit where each member talked about what they did before gamegrumps. Pretty sure Arin mentions his 'dream' is building a school for struggling artist and animators...wonder how that's going for him.

Edit: I rewatched Arins BTG episode & couldn't find him mentioning the school thing. Swore he says it somewhere so i'll check the other episodes & G Club podcast later.
Found two notable moments in Arins episode though
At he 35:50 he metions the toxic enviroment of the Newgrounds community
At he 50:20 he metions meeting JonTron & the birth of GameGrumps

If GG had a Patreon I can imagine they'd have no financial problems at all, but I think Arin hates Patreon or something.

For reference 'Continue?' A show running about as long as GG (even having a JonTron crossover while he was still on GG) but they'll pull less than 10k views sometimes, but they make 2500$ on Patreon.

If you have consistent and good content you can make a strong fan base. But GG's fan base seems like the people too young to see how awful Arin is.

As good an idea as opening a Patreon would be; the Grumps will never do it.

Besides, given their track record of never holding to a promise/schedule they would routinely announce, could anyone really trust them to honor the price tiers they'd set in place on Patreon?
