Apologies for being meta but I find it humorous that Kiwifarms, a gossip site regularly accused of sensationalism took this scandal with a more skeptic view than the rest of the web.

I'll say it once and I'll say it again. If you start DMing an adult male what did you think was going to happen? Protip to all the females, if they're immediately asking for titty pics they're clearly not planning for anything longterm

Who are you fooling? This isn't disappointing at all, this is fresh blood for the dramedy that is Game Grumps. Suddenly everyone involved or calling shots know where they and others land on the table so to speak. Lovelies are gonna look to give a black eye to Jon and then Newgrounds squad taking shots at Dan and Arin, and that's only step one of what I think can happen.

I'm having a blast watching the Main Subreddit start (and fail at) a mass brigading attempt, trying to ALSO misconstrue facts to fit the narrative that everything including the video's fake and that @StillNotBlarg, the rest of RantGrumps, and the girl on Twitter are all some form of cultist autistic Illuminati all working as the same person, and openly planning a civil suit against all parties involved.

The Lovelies are trending due to this insane shit and even the people who gave the ice cold take of "Just don't fuck your fans." are suddenly getting pounded by Lovelies. Even NEWSWEEK wasn't safe from them! Just look at the comment section of their own article! This new shitstorm is so much more entertaining, it's like a massive autistic fandom civil war where there are no winners. And yet it keeps escalating all because Lovelies don't want to admit that Dan might be the tiniest bit of a dick; I'm gonna laugh so hard if they horseshoe theory themselves into getting people to stop supporting Grumps because they just won't shut the fuck up and let it go.

I mean it's not just twitter. It's the biggest platform and blew it up the most, but even people here were still calling Dan a pedo long after it was apparent the woman was 22 when they fucked. People were still calling him a groomer when there wasn't any actual evidence of grooming. Some people here get just as bad as twitter with the uninformed witch hunting when it's someone they want to see go down.

From what I saw most called him a retarded sleaze and not a pedo, which he is. He's a sleaze for reasons so self-evident, I'm wasting time mentioning them. Good call saying the details were sketchy.

People gotta remember that unless you're directly involved in the case you don't know whether or not it's valid, only the people working it and alleged perpetrator does. Innocent until proven guilty.

Clarification for those joining from the sticky: @StillNotBlarg did not falsify anything. He never called it grooming to begin with, and specifically said that what Dan did was legal. The falsification seems to be on some random Twitter instigator’s end, and that’s what blew up.
