Armed protesters make statement during march at Stone Mountain Park

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - A large group of armed protesters on Saturday marched through Georgia’s Stone Mountain Park, calling for the park’s massive Confederate carving to be removed.

The predominantly Black demonstrators spoke out against the huge sculpture depicting Gen. Robert E. Lee, Confederate President Jefferson Davis, and Gen. Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson. Carved into a granite mountain, the base-relief sculpture is the largest Confederate monument ever crafted.

Stone Mountain State Park police estimated that there were around 200 protesters who came into the park while being escorted by police.

After a few speeches, the protesters left the park before it closed early at 4:30 p.m.

Police described the protest as peaceful with no issues.

Although the park has historically been a gathering spot for white supremacists, the city of Stone Mountain nowadays has a majority-Black population.

The park usually holds a Fourth of July laser show and fireworks display with the carving as a backdrop, but this year’s presentation was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The same night on Univerity Ave in Atlanta where a black man was shot by police during a scuffle, an 8 year old girl was shot and killed by armed BLM type protestors

On Saturday on the other side of town, a well armed/equipped "blacks only" militia marched through the "KKK Capital of the world" (which is hilarious- last time I checked Stone Mountain was and is a shit hole )

My opinion here: I support the first and second amendments. The issue here is assembling to make threats is different than when [predominantly white] veterans gather in similar garb to defend a monument or deter a threat from BLM. BLM is allowed to peacefully assemble as is say ANTIFA, but it's the instigators. This crew was seen shaking hands with a white police office while 1. declaring blacks superior 2. denouncing the police 3. denouncing BLM. Can't wait to see what happens.

This is unironically great news. I was hoping that this was real and not some 4chan slide thread bullshit. It's sad to see such a beautiful carving get taken down, but it's always fun to see large groups of heavily-armed people roaming the streets. Seeing shitposts turn into reality and being proven right day after day hasn't gotten old yet.

Here is a video of them marching. It's pretty hysterical

Highlights:
  • the guy organizing it, "Grandmasterjay" is holding two AR-15s side by side in his hands throughout the video making every shot of him look extremely comical
  • At the beginning an older couple wishes them well and the woman asks a question and Grandmasterjay starts to talk about YHWH and some lost book of the bible, it's hard to make out the audio as he has his mouth covered and he doesn't have megaphone yet and is speaking to them alone
  • ~2:45 "This is not a demonstration, this is not a protest, we aint here to fucking overcome we done with that shit, this is a black militia"
  • ~4:20 "If you didn't come out here today ready to kill a motherfucker then leave now"
  • ~4:35 "We got a couple of rules, No Cell Phones, I catch you tryna live stream during my formation you might get shot"
  • ~5:50 "For all the white folks listening we come to put you mother fuckers on notice we tired of talking with you we tired of working with you we tired of all that shit. Ya'll wanna keep doing shit to us? From now on whatever you do to us, we're gonna do to you."
  • ~7:54 "I know yall tryna be brave but brother protect these Queens today, even if you got to give yo motherfuckin life to do it"
  • At 8:08 a guy in a gas mask with a shotgun is shown and he looks really funny
  • ~9:07 "Let's take a walk. This is what I need yall to do, we got three positions. Right now you're at rest, or you chillin. When I tell you to I will say NFC when I say NFC I want your weapon just like this and I want your feet together when I say NFC and then what I want yall to do is you're gonna turn to your right and you're gonna look at the person behind you. And then we going to leave with that end first and we going out in that street and we going that way. Stay together, stay in formation. If you're a spectator you can follow and you can videotape all you want, but nobody in this formation will do that shit you're a part of this already. Nobody is to point they weapon at anybody until we do. After that it's all [??? unintelligible ???] I don't give a fuck kill every motherfucker you can. Yall ready?"
  • ~11:38 some other guy starts shouting right beside the camera at the formation, "ALL HONOR GRANDMASTERJAY", and some people kinda respond, "Honor" ? and then he shouts it again and again, "ALL HONOR TO GRANDMASTERJAY NFAC" and some people at this point are kinda chanting with him but its very awkward
  • ~12:20 someone shouts very autistically "WOW THIS IS HISTORY"
  • ~12:30 I have to note that their militias formation is not very tight
  • ~13:45 they begin to properly reform in the street and begin using an armslength away from the person in front of you approach. While beginning to do so a bunch of black women start shouting at them "line up properly" "get your spacing right", "fix that formation for me brothers and sisters", "straigthen up that line", "fix that formation" over and over and then some other men in the front breifly join in. Then a car alarm starts and they begin to march still to the shouts of GET YO SPACING RIGHT in the background.
  • ~11:50 After a moment of marching someone begins to try to start a call and response chant of "NFC" and the group is immediately scolded by GrandmasterJay, "Don't do that. We don't chant, we don't do that shit, we're not no motherfuckin protest, aight? I don't wanna hear that shit.", to which someone who sounds like they might be behind the camera replies, "Damn". For the record there are chants later in the video.
  • ~15:45 "Nah we don't fuck with Black Lives Matter, we're the NFAC.", "Who?", "Not Fucking Around Coalition."
  • ~16:45 I have to note that while his statements on the three "positions" they would be in was not completely clear to me, he is walking with both of his ARs pointed straight into the air and not down at the ground like he told others to do.
  • ~18:20 they are stopped and it sounds like a megaphone says something about the streets they are on, then some big nigga with an AK + drum mag says "Are we letting them through?" and the camera woman says something, either "Is it cops?" or "It's cops" and then the reply from the formation is "No", "Shut em down", and "Hold tight". They are basically blocking a road in front of a bunch of cars for a while. They let an ambulance pass through without issue, it comes from behind the formation and passes them with its siren on.
  • At ~22:00 the police are now seen blocking the road before the formation as they are marching again. An officer in a surgical mask in an unmarked police SUV with its lights on meets them. He basically asks them where they're going and drives in front of them as they march.
  • At 26:35 someone inside of a house is doing something in a window drawing the attention of the formation. Grandmasterjay makes his way to the side of the street nearest to the house and looks on. Someone says go destroy that shit and Grandmasterjay gets mad, "Who said that? Don't fuck with nobodies shit."
  • At 28:41 they yell halt and they line up with their previously established arm method. Line up to the person on your right they say as well. The formation takes a moment as there are a lot of stragglers at 29:36 they begin to move again but are stopped again.
  • ~29:50 GrandmasterJay says "That's the law! The moment yall turn into a mob they can charge(?) us. As long as we stay in a formation by law they can't fuck with us. That's why they can't fuck with us right now. When you break down into a mob thats when they bring out what they got." to a resounding black woman shouting, "DAS RITE" and making weird dolphin/chimp noises. This entire quote's context is their formation with the arms legnth method and marching side by side. They cannot chant to keep rhythm when marching but unless they keep formation they will be legally a mob. Makes perfect sense to me but I'm no legal scholar.
  • At 32:00 they round a corner to see police blocking the road. "Halt, Come up to me" comes the command. "It ain't yall they want. You see whats behind you? See what they doin?" Eeryone turns around to see police cars on that side of their formation as well. "I want yall to look, now look in front of you...they got us trapped. Yall understand that right? We going right through them, aight?"
  • At about 33:30 they get ready to push through the police line in front of them, "They shut this down they shut black america down" says Grandmasterjay at 33:56.
  • 34:48 "Yall gonna let em kill me?", "No Sir!", "Yall gonna let em get me?", "No Sir!", "They gon try."
  • 35:55 They begin chanting All Honor Grandmasterjay and black power and stuff about revolution
  • 36:30 they begin marching toward the police line. Someone tries to distract them, maybe its a cop, it's hard to tell but their conversation is a bit hard to hear. They start chants of Black Power as they march. They are not confronted by the police and march straight through their blockade.
  • Lots of marching. They seemingly take issue with a guy on a motorcycle without anything
  • At around 47:25 they harass a white driver in his car for allegedly laughing/smiling. Grandmasterjay yells some black power rhetoric about whitey stealing everything from them and then demands to know where his reparations are. When the white guy pushes back and says what did he ever do to Grandmasterjay, they school him on systemic racism and his privilege and then leave while threatening his life.
  • The rest of the video is mostly uneventful after they harass the white guy.
Theres a first part but it's just preparations for the march, I wanted to see the march mostly. Here is the link to the first video. I will note that within the first minute of this video Grandmasterjay tells a guy to be quiet and reminds him they are live when he says something about churches being paid to do nothing and how they used to be active in the past, I believe implying community justice.

According to police, the child was riding in a car with her mom and an adult friend when car exited the interstate near the intersection of University Avenue and Pryor Road. Police said the driver was attempting to enter the parking lot on the 1200 block of Pryor Road when they were confronted by a group of armed individuals who were blocking the entrance.
Someone in the group began shooting at the car, hitting it multiple times including the shot that hit the child.
The wounded girl was immediately taken to Atlanta Medical Center in a private vehicle, but she did not survive her injuries.

If Stone Mountain is majority black why have they not asked for the monuments to be taken down in the first place? You'd think that would have been done fairly quickly if it was an actual concern and not some fresh talking point.

Funny that these people are doing what so many others have been mocked for, I'll wager they'll be praised for it instead of being called Cosplayers.

I know how bigoted this sounds, and I'm sorry... but what is it with black American activists and their need to bring everything down to room-temperature I.Q. negro patois which the rest of us then have to uncritically use like it's adult speak? Shit like "Juneteenth" sounds like a retarded child came up with it, and this isn't much better.

Is this just another way to "keep it real?"
