Alright, so I'm coming from the purplekecleon/Floraverse thread to make a place to provide far better interpretations for the Goetic demons.

For example, here's PK's interpretation for the second-most powerful and absolute most fearsome and threatening demon out of the 72 demons of the Ars Goetia.

I'm sure most of you can do far better. I'll provide my own sketches once I can get a decent photograph.

Here's a PDF file of the Ars Goetia. It's translated for your convenience.

I kind of want to draw my own interpretation of Beleth, but I'm not sure where I'd start. The Ars Goetia doesn't really mention what he looks like. I do know, however, that he's some sort of entity of war and conquest. So there are a few themes I can think of.

He is depicted as a furious and frightening king atop a pale horse, fully armed and ready to slaughter those who fear him.

I typically imagine a beastly king fully clad in armor and having a dark and hateful expression on his face. Possibly with twisted or horns pointed up or forwards, as they're the type meant for charging to impale enemies in animals. It could look threatening on a humanoid demon such as Beleth.

I tried to make Beleth but have it still in the universe of PK's weird circlejerk so I decided to keep him a feline thing but make him like a knight who's a lion but it came out looking like Disney's Beast from Beauty and the Beast
If I did it again they'd all be really cutesy in style to fit into PK's universe but still crazy demon things and I'd try keep them as accurate as I could while still having them be cute
Also I can't really pull off fierce or scary things which makes me sad

Aw no, it doesn't have to be exact! I didn't mean to sound as if it had to be, I described how he's depicted VS PK and then how I depict him. I'm a more horror based artist, and tend to bring out the darkness in beings like Beleth.

It'd do Beleth justice just to have him be within his personality range and not how PK shattered every aspect of him.

My personal view of the Ars Goetia demons--and honestly demons in general--is that they don't go by one specific physical form. Always shifting in an attempt to hit the weak points of humans and make them get their guard down. So for the more powerful and fearsome demons, such as Beleth, personally I see them as having a rather unassuming appearance at first, only to go from zero to nightmare when enraged.
I actually have a few sketches finished but I can't upload images now for some reason help.

I brought up glamour a in a post before too, as well as personal story interpretations for each demon.

"
Ah, you mean as your own story or as a way to remake PK's spin on them? Either way, I think it's brilliant! I like your spin on it, it's definitely far less.....PK.

My ideas for the Goetic demons take place in a post-apocalyptic scenario, after a cult known as the Eye try to release abyssal monsters into their own realm. The attempt only succeeds partially, and our realm's barriers between other realms are broken and cut apart. Because of this, demons and other spirits have entered the human realm, making summoning easier on the human race for the sake of killing each other before the Eye or stragglers left after the eldritch beast attacks can.

One of the main characters is a gang leader that lost her lover and her gang in the initial war that broke out once things went to shit, and with sheer rage and grief alone, she summoned Beleth in a botched ritual and managed to survive. My Beleth is a frightening, powerful king, but the glamour that the gang leader chose for him was that of a young boy of 12. He's still wise and powerful, but acts more like he appears, to his chagrin. He acts somewhat like a prissy brat, but also not. He also greatly despises the gang leader and expresses hatred for others as well. He also wants more than anything to return home to his territory.

Furfur doesn't have a summoner (anymore) and is now a drifter, tearing through the desert with wild storms and attacking human settlements for fun. She is boisterous and crude, outwardly doing things such as calling people ugly or shoving others over. She also favors Beleth, but Beleth literally could not care less about her and dislikes her obsession with him and his territory. Overall, I've made her a wild card that will do whatever Beleth wants her to do due to being of lower rank and because of favoring him. He tends to use her as a scout.

Stolas is a morose astronomer that remains alone without a summoner in an observatory of his own design. He's always gloomy and griping about something, believing everything is terrible and that he's been forgotten by Lucifer. He helps out with information and maps for other demons and their summoners, but with a price. He demands certain metals, minerals, and herbs as pay for his work. ...But not always to the gang leader, considering he fears Beleth both as a person and due to higher rank.

I'm still working on Amdusias and Lucifer, but as far as genders go, I think Beleth would be nonbinary but going by he/him, and Amdusias would be male. I'm not sure if any of them may be transgender, but at least one of them may. ...I do have trans characters, but I haven't yet decided if any of my interpretations of the demons would be trans, as they can really just decide on their appearance and glamour themselves."

That was just one thing I'd written on it, so it may be incoherent.

Finally uploads are working for me so I can post one of my sketches.

Two versions of Beleth. Vaguely human form, and...I guess..."true form" would be the right word for the other one.

Goodness, I love it! It definitely gives off the vibe that beast of a spirit gives off. I like how you made the one form wispy and dark; it makes Beleth very eerie.

Damn, and I still need to finish my own sketches. Damn you, Christmas.

Thanks! Seeing as the true power of a demon would be rather unfathomable and hard to fully wrap one's mind around, I figured that a sort of silhouette, not-fully-revealed type thing would work best for it. Also allows for a sense of fear since there are so many unknown things about it, at least that's how I see it. Can't wait to see yours!

I have to say, mine is a lot less mysterious and unknown, but rather what I find to be a terrifying person/monster. I'll have to pick up the pace with my sketch!

Personally I'm very fond of Furfur myself, but I have yet to look into Azazel thoroughly.

He is best known (imo) for teaching humans how to make weapons and kill each other and also how to make themselves look fabulous which enabled the women to seduce the angels.:

“And Azazel taught the people (the art of) making swords and knives, and shields, and breastplates; and he showed to their chosen ones bracelets, decorations, (shadowing of the eye) with antimony, ornamentation, the beautifying of the eyelids, all kinds of precious stones, and all coloring tinctures and alchemy.” – 1 Enoch 8:1

Which pissed God off so much he felt the need to wipe out humanity with the great Flood.

So yea, there's that.

I finally drew my take on Beleth, though it isn't exactly how I'd pictured him to be. It's as close as I can get for now, I suppose. (I'm terrible with drawing armor.)

I like to picture demons at they'd appear if they were tangible beings and not merely spirits.
