So, will Arthur be a constant for a champions series on Jeopardy? I want to forward this thread to Alex Trebek so he can savagely jab at him during the show.

Making a situation all about him.

Is there a painless way to archive this thread (including images)? It is comedy gold.

Yes, I'm being an idiot today. Thank you for asking.
I remember watching that flick earlier this year. It's honestly hard to believe that Chu was involved with it at all because he comes off looking like a complete tool. A huge chunk of that movie revolves around him being a cold, unattentive, unappreciative husband. There was even a part where his mom bitches him out about treating his wife like shit.

What was the intended purpose of this “documentary”? To showcase the harassment Achu receives and make people feel sorry for him?

Because that’s not what it’s doing. It’s showing a sad, pathetic fat Asian man who’s ruing his life and other’s. He’s making himself miserable because he continues to be an asshole to others and won’t get off social media with his social justice derangement.

His mom dropping truth bombs should be a wake up call that he needs to put down twitter and see a therapist. Maybe get on anti-depressants and quit the social justice shit.

I wonder if his clique will see how he treated his wife and call him out. I’m guessing probably not.

Haven't seen this, only read the above tweets, so take this with a grain of salt - but I can imagine that the original purpose was to document this guy who angered people over Jeopardy and maybe some of the stuff he'd been up to since - but the footage they got was more along the lines of a joyless, lazy bully. So instead of trying to make shit up, they went with what they had. It might have been intended to show how he pissed off people, but whether they wanted to or not the truth showed that it wasn't because Chu is an innocent victim.

A proper documentary rather than a fluff piece, in other words.

Does he realize it's about him being a piece of shit?

Given his very limited amount of self-awareness, I'm going to assume not? I'd reckon he sees it as showing how hard-done-by and victimised he is, and how brave and strong he is for standing up to the internet rather than seeing how much his bullshitery has, in fact, negatively impacted his life.

A good documentary really doesn't take a position, it simply lays out how things are and lets the viewer come to his own conclusion, so I think it's like @Next Task said, they went in just deciding to see who this guy who won a bunch of Jeopardy was, and it turned out that his life fell apart at the same time, so they just documented it. I think it's very likely he watches it and sees himself portrayed positively, whereas you or I might watch it and think he comes off as a complete asshole.

Most of the reviews I've read and the couple minutes of footage I've seen make him look like a self-righteous asshole and pretty much a degenerate on top of that.
